Strix 0.2.0
Download strix-v0.2.0.apk below and install it over your current version.
Requires Android 10+, an ARM64 phone and root.
Highlights
- Host discovery fixed and much faster. Nmap 7.993 is now built with working raw-socket support on Android, so discovery uses ARP: a /24 network is scanned in a few seconds, with real MAC addresses and device names. Addresses the endless discovery spinner reported in #4.
- Tools and Metasploit update by themselves. Nmap, Hydra, Ettercap and tcpdump ship inside the app and can be updated without reinstalling it. Metasploit is now a separate, on-demand download from the Metasploit screen. New versions are built, tested and signed every week; the app shows a banner and installs only when you tap Update. See Settings → Bundles.
- In-app logs. ⋮ → Logs shows what the app is doing, with filters and search, and Share exports a log for bug reports (Wi-Fi name removed). No adb needed.
Fixes
- Nmap uses your Wi-Fi's DNS servers (or the one set in Settings) instead of failing to resolve names.
- Port scanner: versions are shown correctly when custom nmap arguments add extra columns (e.g.
--reason). - Exploit Finder fills in the module defaults (e.g. RPORT) and opens straight on the matching modules.
- Hydra no longer waits 10 seconds after a stopped run.
- Labelled hosts keep their MAC address; manually added hosts survive new scans; "This device" shows the phone's real MAC.
- A Metasploit daemon left running after a crash or force stop is cleaned up at the next start.
- IP addresses are always written with Latin digits, whatever the phone's language.
- Many reliability fixes for long-running scans, process cleanup and crashes.
