SubnautiCraft 0.2.0
Play Subnautica as Steve: Minecraft inside Subnautica.
What's new
- Subnautica's items are Minecraft items:
- Materials, fish and tools come with Subnautica's own icons and names.
- Anything else Steve picks up or cuts (sulphur, kelp samples, nutrient blocks...) comes as a "Subnautica item" of its kind, so nothing is lost.
- The fabricator is the crafting table:
- It has every fabricator recipe, including the mobile vehicle bay, the knife and filtered water.
- Recipes stay locked until the diver knows the blueprint. Scan fragments with the scanner (a Minecraft item too) to unlock them.
- Unlocked blueprints show up in a "Subnautica" advancements tab.
- Dropping and placing:
- Q puts Subnautica's things back into its world as the real thing.
- Right click places the mobile vehicle bay (it floats up, deployed), beacons, waterproof lockers and flares.
- Food, drink and healing:
- Subnautica's food and drink feed the diver.
- First aid kits heal Steve.
- Metal salvage turns into titanium without a blueprint.
- Tools and machines:
- The flashlight, Seaglide and scanner work in Steve's hand.
- Lockers, the lifepod's storage, the fabricator and the vehicle bay open Minecraft screens.
- Each Subnautica save has its own Minecraft world.
- Creatures and mobs:
- Every creature that bites hunts Steve.
- Minecraft mobs and Subnautica creatures fight each other.
- Minecraft mobs find their way around Subnautica's rock.
- The Seamoth takes damage when it rams blocks.
- Fewer cutscenes:
- No intro, no hatch or ladder cinematics, and no Seamoth or Prawn suit enter animations.
- The lifepod stays still while Steve is near it.
- Fixes:
- Steve and the diver no longer drift apart in height.
- F5 works better.
- Outcrops no longer drop a second, vanilla copy of their ore.
