Support for Bitwarden "Share via link" (email-verified Send)

Bitwarden announced a new "Share via link" feature on October 20, 2026:

It lets a user share a vault item with someone outside their vault through a Send-based link. Unlike a normal Send, the sender must list the recipients' email addresses. The recipient opens the link, enters their email, and receives a verification code by email before the item is decrypted.

On my Vaultwarden 1.37.5 server the "Share via link" option is not available in the item menu in the web vault.

From the blog post, the feature appears to be built on Bitwarden Send, with these extra parts:

• Sender provides recipient email addresses when creating the Send
• Recipient verifies their email with a one-time code before access
• Options for expiry, max access count and hiding the sender's email

I assume this needs new server-side support (storing the recipient list and sending and checking the verification codes), which is why I'm asking here rather than reporting a bug.

Questions:

1. Is support for this planned or already being worked on?
2. Does it need new Send API endpoints, or can it work with the existing ones?
3. Is there anything users can test or help with?

I'm using email (SMTP) on my server, so verification emails could be delivered.

Extra info from my server: /api/config reports version 2026.6.0 and featureStates contains only "pm-19148-innovation-archive": true. Bitwarden's server release notes mention "PM-39978 Add Item type Send support" and "PM-35791 Remove email verification FF and legacy Send access endpoints", which suggests new Send access endpoints are involved.
