FastiCompanion v0.25.0-beta

@danielarcher danielarcher released this 06 Nov 15:54

From your ideas

  • FastiCompanion in your language: the whole app now reads in the game's nine languages: 中文, English,
Français, Deutsch, Bahasa Indonesia, Italiano, Português, Русский and Español. It follows the language the game is
set to, and switches when you change it there; Config → Language picks another one. Heroes, skills, gear,
artifacts, demons and stages come in the game's own text, and the app's words use the game's own terms (its Guild
War, Pity Timer, Demon Soldier and the rest), so the app reads like the game. Numbers follow the language too
    (1.234,5 in Deutsch, 1 234,5 in Русский).
  • USA date format: a switch in Config → Interface puts every date month first (11/06/2026 for 6 November). Off by
default, so dates stay day first; times stay 24-hour.

Fight Stats

  • A hero's fight, ultimate by ultimate: click a hero in the table and its fight opens under it, in order: its
normal attacks, then its ultimate, then normal attacks again, each with when it started, how long it lasted, its
damage and its DPS, and how much harder the ultimates hit ("Ultimate DPS 1.6× normal"). In a comparison, the same
breakdown opens for each fight side by side, the ultimates lined up.
  • Ultimates to the frame: an ultimate's start and end now come from the game's own timer, not from the nearest
read, so two near-identical fights no longer show a hero's ultimate seconds apart.
  • Smoother live fights: fights are read four times a second, as they were meant to be; the chart glides from one
read to the next and the table's numbers count on instead of jumping. A kept fight keeps twice the detail, and the
compact view shows each hero's share bar too.

App

  • Your reports and our answers: Report a bug lists the reports you sent and where each stands (waiting, answered,
closed), with our answer right under it. Ask for a feature shows our answer under your idea the same way, and is
now one compact table (Private, On voting, Shipped) that says when an idea was grouped with a similar one.
  • Overlay on the US build: the overlay looked for a window titled exactly "Watcher of Realms", so it never showed
on the US build ("Watcher of Realms - US"). It now finds the window of the game the app is reading, whatever its
    title.
  • Standard Windows accounts: when Windows asks for an administrator's password to open the app, the window could
fail with "Microsoft Edge can't read and write to its data directory". It now keeps its data in your own account's
    folder.

App

  • Affiliation All 5 is the best whole team: with all five heroes picked, the team now gets the highest BP it can
reach together, never less than another option or than what the heroes wear today (before, each hero was built on
its own, so the five could end up below another option's team).
  • "What is effective BP?": a small button beside the team's BP opens a one-screen explanation worked on one of
your own lords: its BP and lord bonus, what the demon soldier gains from it, its effective BP, and why that is not
simply the BP times the bonus.
  • Guild War enemy teams fill in again: the teams you or your guildmates saw before (after a restart, or a
building only someone else opened) show again on Current enemy instead of "Teams not loaded", each row saying how
old its teams are ("Seen 1d ago"). Guildmates' lineups you see go to the guild the same way.
  • Overlay logs: more detail in the log when the overlay opens, shows and closes, for bug reports.

@danielarcher danielarcher released this 05 Nov 22:10

App

  • Game overlay back on Windows (alpha), with the freeze fixed: in 0.23.0, turning the overlay on froze the whole app
on Windows, and closing it left it running in the background, so it would not open again until it was ended in Task
Manager (or reinstalled). The overlay now opens without holding up the app, never takes the focus from the game, and
starts off every time the app opens (turn it on in Config or the menu when you want it). Still marked "Caution -
alpha version" on Windows: if it misbehaves, a Report a bug carries what it saw.

App

  • Affiliation upgrades in BP only: every upgrade is now ranked and valued by the hero's own BP, the big number and
each sub's alike (before, the big number was the hero's BP and the subs the demon soldier's, so they never matched).
  • Refine slider: a Refine sub's white tick can be dragged along the bar (or stepped with the arrow keys) to see the
hero's BP at any roll up to the full bar; "back to target" puts it back.

App

  • Game overlay off on Windows again: the alpha in 0.23.0 had a problem on players' PCs, so it is switched off on
Windows until it is fixed (Config says so; Linux keeps it). Whoever had turned it on finds it off.
  • Streamer mode (Config → Streaming): every player's name, every guild's name and tag, and the avatars and frames
on the window are made up: yours, your guildmates', enemies', Arena opponents' and the chat's. The account code is
made up too, and a "Streamer mode" tag shows in the header. Heroes, gear and numbers stay as they are, and each
player keeps the same made-up name everywhere. Only the window changes: sync and chat still go as your account.
  • Streaming BP blur (Config → Streaming): blurs other players' BP wherever it shows (My Guild, BP Affiliation,
Guild War, Current enemy, Battle Record, Starred Battles, Arena), and drops it from their hover text; yours stays
    clear.

App

  • Overlay switch in the menu: the game overlay turns on and off right at the top of the side menu, over Heroes
(its icon alone, gold while on, when the menu is folded); Config's switch and the menu's move together. It shows
only where the overlay can run, marked Alpha on Windows.
  • Game overlay on Windows (alpha): the overlay can now be turned on on Windows too, marked "Caution - alpha
version" in Config. If it shows in the wrong place or not at all, a Report a bug from the app carries what it saw.
  • Clearer logs for the overlay and for a game the app can't read: the overlay logs each change of what it sees
(the game's window, where it put itself, shown or hidden, arranging), and a failed attach logs one line with what
the app found in the game's memory, so a bug report says why.
  • Finds the game behind a launcher of the same name: when more than one program is named like the game (a
launcher, a second copy), the app reads the one actually running the game instead of the first it saw, which never
attached ("no Lua 5.3 state found"). When it still can't attach, the log now says how much it read and whether that
program is the game at all.
  • Starred Battles: the guild's leader, deputies and elites can star an attack worth copying, from its row in
Battle Record or from its demon team, and take the star off again. A new Starred Battles tab lists the starred
battles for everyone in the guild, with who starred each one. Stars go through fastidious.gg with the guild's
shared fights, so they need sharing with the guild on, like the Battle Record pool.
  • Smaller demon cards in a fight's demon team, so the drop order and the defence fit without scrolling.
  • Guild War score matches the game: the scoreboard now counts the enemy's shielded fortress (it was left out)
and the bots' stronghold the way the game does (at 15% of its HP), and rounds like the game, so both sides read the
same figures as the game's own screen (80.0% and 41.8% where it said 79.0% and 22.7%).
  • Current enemy, easier to read: buttons over the table show it grouped by building or as one list (each
defence named with its building), in the map's order or by HP left (the most first, both teams' bars added up, the
fallen last), and "Hide fallen" fades the fallen defences and teams so the ones still standing stand out. The app
    keeps your choice.
  • Shielded fortress: while the enemy's fortress is still under its shield, its slots and HP show as on the
game's map, with every defender and team as ???, until its outer strongholds fall.
  • Battle Record: is that team down? Under each fight's defender, the HP left now of the very team the fight met,
in figures beside its bar ("Now 20/60"), or a red "Down" once it has none, so you see at once whether a team is
still worth attacking. Where the team's own HP isn't known, it says "Slot now" and shows the slot's.
  • Titanic Ruins, week by week: its tab opens on your weekly rounds: each week's chests (Apocalypse I and II,
Matrix I) with an empty slot for one you didn't claim, and the Ancient Summoning Crystals that week gave, as a bar
against your best week. Over them, your average a week, your best and the total, and how many of this week's chests
    are still to claim.
  • Soulstones in Drake's Chasm: its tab shows both stones side by side: your Unpolished and Polished Soulstone
shards out of 1,200, how many a day you have gained since this PC first saw them and the date you reach 1,200, then
how many days since a Drake's Chasm chest last gave that stone and the claims since (its date on hover). Its log can
show only the claims that gave one: All, USS or PSS, each with its count (the drop rates and totals still count
every claim). Polished Soulstones (the game's "Legendary Hero Soulstone") now count as a soulstone drop too, so
    their claims stand out.
  • Guild War score: a line under the scoreboard says what to do when it doesn't match the game: open Guild War in
the game, since the score follows what its screen last loaded.
  • Pictures on the first start: the first time the app reads the game's pictures takes a while, and every picture
used to wait for it, so a new install showed empty cards. They now show at once from fastidious.gg while the game's
own are read, and switch to the game's from then on.
  • Gear Optimizer locks hold across battles: a hero you lock keeps its gear when you plan another battle. Lock
Sun Wukong for one stage, then plan Kigiri for another, and Kigiri no longer takes Wukong's pieces. A new battle
still starts with no one locked; the heroes locked elsewhere are listed under the team, each with Release to free
    its gear.
  • Chat opens on your first sync: you no longer need to share with your guild to join its room. A sync now tells
the site who is in your guild (their account codes, nothing else), which is all Chat needs to let you in.
  • Fight Stats in the Arena: an Arena fight (Friendly Faceoffs too) is now you against the opponent: the score up
top (each side's damage and DPS across the clock, the damage split as one bar, healing and damage taken mirrored),
both sides' totals on one chart, then the two sides side by side, each with its heroes' chart (one scale for both)
and table. A hero both sides bring (two Valaras) now keeps its own line, total and ultimates per side.
  • Kept fights in tabs: the kept fights sort into tabs by kind: Guild Bosses, Guild War, Arena, Dungeons, Events
and Other, each with its count, only the kinds you have kept. The tab you pick is remembered, and Delete all in a tab
    deletes only that tab's fights.
  • Kept fights on a narrow window: the stage's name shows under the date instead of going, and the heroes' faces
stop short of the damage rather than pushing it out of the row.
  • Artifacts: a slim filter bar as Gear has: search, quality and class strips, a Stats menu (the stats an
augmentation raised), Sort as a menu (stage, name and copies too), then Where and chips with their counts: not
augmented, augmented, Runic, Exclusive, off its hero, can be sold, locked, unlocked. What is picked reads back in the
header, each part removed with a click. The search finds an artifact by its name, the hero holding it or
the hero it is made for. A hero's own artifact says so ("For Valara"), in gold when that hero is in your roster
but the artifact sits in the bag or on someone else. Artifacts you have more than once show ×2 with the best one
marked. A Compact view shows them as the bag does, a grid of tiles (the level on each, the holder and roll under
it, ×n for copies, sell on a sellable exclusive, the whole card on hover), and the holder's face opens the hero.
The augmentation column lists the Runic Augmentation's line first (ATK Bonus +3%, in green as the game shows it),
then each augmented line, each with where it rolled; the average roll moved to the hover text. A Mythic without
the Runic Augmentation yet shows an empty, greyed "No runic" row in its place. The skill line under
the name only shows when the skill has a name of its own.
Opening an artifact you have more than once lists all your copies under it as cards, the best first and the open
one marked; click one to open it.
Can be sold shows the spare copies of a hero's exclusive artifact you already have at Lv. 25: that one is
kept, the others are marked "can be sold".
  • Gear and Artifacts: the Where switch (All, Worn or Held, In bag) shows its whole frame again; the line it sits in
cut its top and bottom off.
  • Game overlay: in the Arena the damage meter splits into two columns, your heroes and the opponent's, under the
    damage split.
  • Guild War demon team: your own demons with a lord show both BPs on their card: the fight's, which counts the
Lord Bonus (×1.15 for a lord at full awakening), and under it the one the game's Demon Soldier screen shows, before
    the bonus.
  • Battle Record search: a search box finds a player's fights by name, attacking or defending; the counts and the
    Demon Captain chips follow it.

App

  • Chat: talk with your guild, live, in the new Chat page: the room shows who is online, the last messages (30
days), and new lines as they are said. It is the same room as Guild Chat on fastidious.gg, so guildmates on the site
are there too. It needs the app linked and your account proven in My Guild; only what you type is sent. A Friends
    tab is coming.
  • Game overlay (preview): a see-through layer over the game window with a live damage meter during battles:
each hero's damage, share and a bar, the battle clock and team DPS. On the summon screen it shows the pity of the
banner you picked: summons done, the next summon's chance and how many until a Legendary is certain. Each widget
goes within half a second of leaving its screen. Your clicks go through to the game, and the overlay never touches
it: it only sits on top of the game's window. Turn it on in Config → Game overlay; while a widget shows, hold Ctrl
over the game to drag it where you want it (Ctrl does nothing otherwise), or use Arrange widgets in Config.
Linux (Hyprland) for now; Windows is next.

Also

  • The Battle Equips Optimizer is now called Gear Optimizer.
  • Fix: the side menu scrolls when it does not fit (a short window or a large interface size), so every page and the
    fold button stay in reach.

From your ideas

  • Fight Stats: delete a kept fight (the bin at the end of its row, click twice) or all of them, and turn Keep new
    fights
off while grinding: fights still show while they run, then go. Guild War fights are always kept, since
their drop orders go to the guild's reports.
  • Gear: an exclusive piece carries a gold-framed mark under its tier: the faction's emblem or the face of the hero
it is for. The new Exclusive sort puts exclusive pieces first, grouped by faction, then by hero.
  • Artifacts: each artifact shows its augmentation: every augmented line with how far it rolled, and a score (their
average roll). Sort by Augmentation to find your best copy of an artifact.
  • Quieter status bar: the gold line that ran along the status bar on every read is off. Config → Debugging →
Read line in the status bar brings it back.

App

  • Report a bug: a new page sends a short description of a problem to fastidious.gg (linked apps). Tick the box to
let today's log go with it, which helps find the cause much faster; nothing from the log is sent without it.
  • Pity in the header: a thin row under the resources shows every pity timer: summons done of the certain one, a
bar that turns gold once pity runs, and where pity starts marked. Hover for the details.
  • Heroes: the Needs filter reads Missing gear and Missing skills, and a small legend beside it says what the
    cards' two marks mean.
  • Support: hovering Support on Patreon opens a second row with the creator's account for W-Gold donations in the
    game; a click copies it.

App

  • FastiCompanion, by Archer: the app's new name and mark are on its window, taskbar and Start menu icon, and in
the installer. Updating replaces the old Fastidious Client install: one app left, your history, sync link and
settings kept. A pinned taskbar icon needs pinning again.

Guild War

  • Battle Record: a fight's defence is drawn on its map from the enemy team this PC kept, once the war no longer
holds it (a later war, or the game started again): as seen last before the fight, else as first seen after it.
