Streams first

• While a stream or camera plays, or while you're streaming, Terono steps aside: no blur, no liquid glass, no moving background or background video, no bouncing logo, no animated rings, no fixed backgrounds. Your colors, shapes and layout stay; only what keeps the graphics card redrawing turns off, so the video gets the whole GPU like in plain Discord. It switches back when the video ends.
• Ambient mode turns itself off while you're streaming yourself (your PC is encoding then).

Faster and smoother

• Opens faster: Terono's start-up is down to about 26 ms. Discord's class names (see 1.2.0) are now remembered per Discord build, so they're worked out once instead of at every start.
• No more small freezes every minute: Terono no longer re-reads Discord's code on a timer; it only looks again when Discord actually loads something new.
• Quicker hovers: list and button hover fades are about twice as fast.

Works on Discord's new build

Discord is rolling out a new build that renamed every style class in the app (for example guilds__5e434 is now guilds_pog62O). On it Terono looked half broken: some parts styled, most not.

Terono now finds Discord's current class names itself when it starts: it knows, for every part of Discord it styles, all the class names that part had, finds the same part in the running Discord and uses its new names, for the theme, your look and every tool. It works on the old build and the new one (Discord rolls it out to some people before others), and keeps working if Discord renames them again. Parts that only appear later (settings pages, the shop, some popouts) are picked up when Discord loads them.

Fixed

• Your name never goes invisible. Gradient, Prism, Toon and Pop draw the name from its colors; a name style with one of those effects but no colors saved made the text see-through. Effects now always come with colors: the ones the editor shows, until you pick your own. Picking an effect also saves those colors, so what you see in Your profile is what everyone gets.
• Your profile and People no longer fight. Your own name style comes from Your profile only; a People entry for yourself is ignored and isn't offered anymore ("Name style..." doesn't show when you right-click yourself).
• Profile colors, banner, effect and frame show on small popouts too (like your own account popout): Discord didn't load the full profile there, so the look had nothing to attach to. It's now loaded when needed.

Terono 1.1.8

Your profile applies instantly

• Every change shows on your own name, avatar and profile at once, and for everyone with Terono a second later. No Save button anymore: the bottom line says All changes saved.
• Dropdowns instead of cards: name font (each shown with your name in it), name effect, and Decoration / Nameplate / Effect / Frame with pictures and search. None removes an item. Name styles you set for other people apply as you change them too.
• The app font picker is a dropdown as well (grouped, searchable, each font shown in itself).

Search

• Pictures and videos are separate: Pictures (GIFs included), Videos, Links, Files.
• Inside Discord's search: click Discord's search bar and there's a Terono group under its filters with Pictures, Videos, Links and Files. The button next to the search bar still works too.
• The Files tab keeps reading until it finds files (Discord's "has: file" also matches pictures and videos).

Friends

• Blocked sits right after Pending, before Add Friend.

Terono on or off

• System -> Turn Terono's features off: Discord looks and works like Discord (with your plugins), while Terono stays installed, keeps updating, and its settings and plugin hub keep working. Back on with one click, no restart.
• Plugins -> Turn all other plugins off: keep Terono and park every other plugin; Turn them back on brings exactly those back.

Screenshares

• Troubleshooting now warns when your screenshare is set above what your account gets: without Nitro, Discord sends screenshares at up to 720p and 30 fps, and higher settings (FakeNitro's quality bypass makes them selectable) can come out choppy or delayed for the people watching. One click sets 720p 30 fps.

Fixed

• Turning the taskbar icon off and picking a color preset now apply right away (they only took effect after a restart).
• The search window, Blocked list and person editor are styled even when opened before the Terono settings.

Terono 1.1.7

New

• Unread servers get a line running around their icon instead of Discord's small dot hidden behind it: a bright line chasing around the icon, stretching and shrinking as it goes, popping in with a little spring. White by default; pick any color (Colors -> Unread servers) or turn it off. Mentions and DMs keep their badge. Round icons get a round line. It holds still while Discord isn't in front and in Performance mode.
• Remove what you picked in your profile: every chosen decoration, nameplate, effect and frame has a ✕, Remove name style clears your name's font, effect and colors, and Remove everything starts over (then Save).
• New update screen: the Terono logo in a ring that fills as the update goes, a clean step list, and a springy finish with a check mark. Errors turn the ring red.

Fixed

• Updates build again with the newest Vencord (1.15.15). Vencord removed a component Terono used, which would have made the next update fail to build.
• The celebration burst at the end of an update never played (a broken style).

Terono 1.1.6

Fixed

• Installing on a PC without Git or Node.js works. Terono Setup used to install them with winget, which is missing or broken on many PCs (and needs admin rights), so Setup stopped with "git is needed". Now it downloads its own copy of Git and Node.js into the Terono folder: no admin, no winget, nothing to install first. A Node.js that's too old for Vencord's build gets the same treatment.
• The in-app updater uses those copies too, so these installs update from inside Discord like every other.

Already have Terono? Nothing changes for you; just update from inside Discord as usual.

Fixed

• Saving your profile no longer fails with "Bad look". Nameplates whose names have an apostrophe or comma (Gardener's Friend, Will-o'-the-Wisp, All Bark, All Bite and more) were refused. If something can't be saved, the message now says which part.
• Profile colors on every card: your profile gradient now shows on the profile popout and your own account popout too (it was covered by the panel color), with the sections inside see-through like in Discord. Everyone with Terono sees it.
• Bouncing logo moves during calls and streams (it used to stop while any video played). It only pauses when a stream is fullscreen, when Discord is hidden, and in Performance / Ultimate mode while Discord isn't in front.

New

• Crop your banner like on Discord: pick a picture and drag it into place in the banner frame, zoom with the slider or mouse wheel. GIFs can be kept whole so they stay animated.

Fixed

• Profile effects and frames apply right away. Changing your look (or someone's) now redraws open profiles immediately instead of after reopening them. Discord plays profile effects while its window is active.
• Profile card colors: profiles with their own colors (Nitro or a Terono look) keep their gradient card.
• Your profile: the chosen decoration, nameplate, effect and frame show their name and picture; the frame picker has pictures.
• "You're viewing older messages" is a solid glass bar you can clearly read, and its text can't be selected.
• Settings fit any window size: in small windows the settings get the room (the plugin description and authors step aside), the tab list stays in place while you scroll, and in narrow windows the tabs become one row you can scroll sideways.

New

• See all badges: Terono badges (OG, custom and Discord ones you wear) now show in Discord's badge window too.
• New Discord badges to wear: every Account Age tier (Seed, Sprout, Sapling, Bud, Blossom, Redwood, Sequoia, Bristlecone, Stromatolite, Primordial), the Gifting tiers (Patron to Legend), Orbs Apprentice and Last Meadow.
• Ultimate performance mode (System), requested by BLOODHOUND CIGGA: everything Performance mode does, plus instant hovers and menus, no blur, and every animation in Discord pauses while Discord isn't in front. Your look stays the same.
• Bouncing logo (Panels & background): a DVD-style logo, or your own picture, bouncing behind the panels at a smooth 60 fps. About half of its bounces go for a corner. It pauses while Discord is hidden or a stream plays, and in Performance / Ultimate mode while Discord isn't in front.
• Selection color (Colors): your own color for selected text.

Fixed

• Name styles show everywhere, all the time. Discord only drew a name's color and effect in DMs, and only while you pointed at the name, so styled names looked plain in servers and some (gradients) were invisible. Now fonts, colors and effects show in servers, DMs and lists without hovering. (People & avatars → Name styles everywhere, on by default.)
• Terono now lives at github.com/darkzmaj/Terono; updates come from there (older versions keep updating through GitHub's redirect).

Couldn't update or install since October 14? Vencord changed how it shows messages that day and Terono 1.1.1 no longer built with it. 1.1.2 works with old and new Vencord. If an update failed, run Terono-Setup.exe once.

• Your profile: Discord's Nitro profile items, free, seen by everyone with Terono: a font, effect (gradient, neon, glow, prism, …) and colors for your name, any avatar decoration, nameplate, profile effect and profile frame from Discord's shop, profile card colors and your own banner (picture or GIF). Discord draws them itself, everywhere.
• People: right-click anyone → Name style… to give their name your own font and color (only you see it).
• Square or rounded profile pictures for everyone (only you see it).
• Pictures, links and files of a chat in one click (button next to the search bar), with a search inside links: "kori" finds coolify.kori.my.
• Blocked button next to Add Friend.
• Profiles: share any profile as a code (a//$//K//…) anyone can paste, choose what to include (everything, look, layout, features or single sections), filter your list.
• 70 fonts in 7 styles with search and a cleaner picker.
• Troubleshooting (System): checks with fix buttons, cache repair, and Send report for a short code to give to darkzmaj.
• New Discord badges: Nitro Bronze to Opal, Gifting Champion, Level 67.

Better

• Cleaner settings: a sidebar with Look, You, Features and Terono instead of a wall of buttons.
• Streams are smooth again: ambient mode no longer copies every stream frame (that made 60 fps streams stutter), and Terono's moving background holds still while you watch. Ambient mode and the overlay are now beta.
• Terono overlay redesigned in your Terono look (colors, glass, corners, font) with proper icons.
• Faster start: Terono's own start-up work went from about 190 ms to about 5 ms.
• Server list: icons and folders are centered whatever side it's on; the open server gets an outline in your color that hugs its icon, no underline on Home; hovering an icon gently shrinks it instead of a pill.

Fixed

• Badge changes since 1.1.1 weren't shown to others (the server didn't rebuild the list). Fixed on the server, nothing to do.
• Works with the newest Vencord.
