VSCode also took a lot of RAM, with any intellisense working.

Can you also reproduce the issue with latest version of Dart which is 3.9.4? 3.6.0 are rather old and Dart does rarely (ever?) do patch releases for older main releases so any fixes for your problem would require you to update to a newer version.

Unfortunately, our project can not be built on the latest Dart due to some pinned dependencies, and we are also stuck on an older version of Flutter.

We will eventually catch up to the latest flutter/dart release; hopefully, it will be fixed
