Fixed

  • v2.2.5 shipped an ineffective fix: the double-registration guard caused the block registrar to skip registration entirely whenever WordPress had already auto-registered the block from block.json (which happens on every request), so render_callback was never attached and the block kept rendering empty.
  • Replaced the guard approach with the register_block_type_args filter, which correctly injects render_callback into WordPress's auto-registered block type instead of racing it.

Upgrade notes

Supersedes v2.2.4 and v2.2.5. Update directly to this version.
