English-first onboarding, with a complete Chinese guide

OpenWorkProof 1.6.1 updates the package description and getting-started documentation. The default README now explains who OWP is for, which tasks it supports, how to connect MCP, and how to interpret the first result. A complete Chinese version remains available.

  • English README links use complete GitHub URLs so documentation, license and language-switch links work from PyPI.
  • Current installation commands and MCP metadata are synchronized to 1.6.1.
  • Trial setup resolves Python command symlinks before creating a copied environment, fixing a reproduced setup failure.
  • The bilingual Codex Guard guides retain the recorded 1.5.0 implementation baseline and explain separate opt-in setup.
  • The SOC Review Skill still supports 1.6.0+; its existing 1.6.0 ZIP remains valid.

The 32 MCP tools and product behavior are unchanged. SOC examples use synthetic data and simulated actions. MCP installation does not enable Codex Guard, and verification is separate from human acceptance.

Release verification

The source, package and fresh candidate image inventory are verified before publication. Historical frozen artifacts are preserved; the new version has its own source-revision inventory and archive hashes. Validation: 4,754 tests passed and 23 optional checks skipped on both the PR and merged main; the full local candidate suite passed 191 checks without skips. A clean wheel installation exposed 32 tools and completed the synthetic example; missing independent trust returned UNKNOWN, and deleting a required receipt failed verification.

Main CI · Pull request

OWP Core is Apache-2.0; the contributed aisoc component is MIT. The combined package metadata uses Apache-2.0 AND MIT.
