Release list
v1.1.0
Changed
- Polars 0.53 → 0.55. Along the way: rusqlite 0.41, crossterm 0.29, rust_xlsxwriter 0.102,
jaq-std 3.0.4.
Fixed
- The API documentation on docs.rs builds again. It failed twice over: Polars 0.53 turns
on nightly-only code under the nightly compiler docs.rs uses, and that code no longer
compiles there; and compiling the bundled DuckDB ran past docs.rs's memory limit, so the
docs are now built without it.
v1.0.0
Breaking
qrow 1.0.0 is the first release of qrow, which continues tuitab. The engine is the same,
developed further under a new name. tuitab stays available at 0.11.1 on every channel as a
separate product and gets no further releases; the two install side by side. From here the
versions follow 1.{update}.{patch}: a feature update raises the middle number, a fix the last.
- The crate is
qrowand the commands areqrowand its short aliasqrw(tuitab's
ttabalso collided with mklement0/ttab, a macOS tool). Thealiasesfeature builds
qrw;cargo binstall qrowinstallsqrowalone. - The MCP server reports itself as
qrow, and its tools areqrow_inspect,
qrow_query,qrow_describe,qrow_jq,qrow_calc,qrow_writeand
qrow_write_apply. Register it —claude mcp add -s user qrow -- qrow --mcp, adding
--mcp-writeif you want writes — and rename permission rules:
mcp__tuitab__tuitab_querybecomesmcp__qrow__qrow_query,mcp__tuitabbecomes
mcp__qrow. - The repository is denisotree/qrow and the site
qrow.dev. denisotree/tuitab
keeps tuitab 0.11.1 and earlier. - Packages: crates.io
qrow; Homebrewbrew install denisotree/qrow/qrow(its own tap);
AURqrowandqrow-bin; APT athttps://qrow.dev/aptwith the keyqrow.gpg. None
of them touches tuitab — install qrow side by side, and remove tuitab when you want.
Fixed
- The MCP descriptions of the write tools no longer carry runs of spaces.
- The MCP guide said the server offers four tools, or six with
--mcp-write; it offers
five, or seven. - SECURITY.md said qrow has no server component; it describes the MCP server now.
