What's in this release

  • #54: sign-in and sign-up made for AI agents: the person signs in in their own terminal (the CLI never asks for the API key or suggests passing it on the command line), sign-up asks to accept the Terms of Service, auth status really checks the credentials and reports authenticated, email_verification_required, invalid_credentials, not_logged_in and more.
  • #52: the deploy key is added (via gh, or shown) before connecting an SSH repository, so private repos connect on the first run.
  • #49: servers create: --install-key works with the project's own key, key-based SSH comes first in help, passwords via --password-stdin.
  • #48: deploy --wait waits for the final status in every output mode, and survives a failed status check.
  • #51: excluded files, config files, SSH commands and integrations apply to all servers by default; --server / --all-servers to target them.
  • #55: build-configs overrides can target servers (--server).
  • #50: no duplicate projects on re-runs (the folder is linked to the project inside a git repository), and projects apply-suggestions adds DeployHQ's suggested build settings to any project.
  • #53, #60: plan, trial, suspension and payment-method refusals say what's wrong and link the page that fixes it; auth status reports account_suspended.
  • #58: each dhq launch refusal exits with its documented code instead of 2.
  • #47: the built-in agent guide is rewritten: small steps the person approves one at a time.
  • #62, #63: pre-release fixes: guide commands, account links, excluded-files create --json, confirmation flags in dhq commands --json, 60s for repository and server creation, launch reasons for suspended accounts.
  • #45: server-groups create / update --transfer-order. #44: MIT license.

Worth knowing when upgrading

  • dhq launch stops if the repository can't be connected, instead of provisioning anyway.
  • projects create / launch write .deployhq.toml (project and account) inside a git repository; --no-save opts out.
  • Non-interactive signup needs --accept-terms; non-interactive auth login without credentials exits 3.
  • Argument and flag errors exit 1 instead of 2.
  • signup --json no longer prints the API key and config show --json masks it; use dhq auth token.
