OrbitDiff 0.2.2 improves the portable Agent Skill and publishes a separately installable Orbit OS preview for Apple Silicon Mac.

Release commit: f30806c88761ce1b271135dab5c9cc5550a76e8a, from merged PR #3. The merged tree matches the reviewed candidate exactly.

The skill now has clearer task routing, verified runtime selection, precise completion conditions, source-preserving inspection, and explicit handling of untrusted export instructions. Evaluation tooling verifies an exact installed wheel before execution and records actual command and exposure evidence.

Install the portable skill with:

gh skill install deserteaglemj/orbitdiff orbitdiff@v0.2.2 --agent codex --scope user

Choose another supported --agent for your host, or use the attached skill ZIP. The skill requires a compatible command runtime; the app includes its own runtime and works independently of an AI agent.

The app ZIP and DMG are developer previews, ad-hoc signed and not notarized. A fresh quarantined copy is rejected by Gatekeeper. Do not disable protections to make it launch. Native offline workflows were verified on macOS 26.6.2 arm64; other platforms and older macOS releases are unproven.

Verification includes 327 passing tests, lint/type checks, audited packages, 29 passing assertions across seven consuming-agent scenarios with 39 runtime commands, and relocated native launch/import/export/recovery/restart/shutdown checks. The finite agent cohort used reused contexts, shared guardrails, and synthetic version fixtures; it does not establish universal compatibility.

Live public-watchlist collection remains unproven. Neither deliverable meets the agreed ready gate until authorized live verification succeeds. Personal data comes from owner-supplied exports; public watchlists are a separate workflow.

See verification and exact checksums, release criteria, and the attached SHA256SUMS.txt. Prior versioned releases are preserved.
