v0.1.0: first public release

First public release of dsh-open-bots: lasting bots for DeepSeek Harness, each with its own name, photo, persona, memory, voice and model, configured by talking to them. Behind each bot, a hidden brain follows the conversation, looks things up ahead and leaves notes the bot reads before it answers.

Tested on DeepSeek Harness 0.2.1-rc.3, Desktop and dsh web, on Windows. macOS is expected to work (no native modules, no shell commands) but was not tested.

What is in it

• Bots: a leader bot from the first start that creates other bots when asked; identity changed by conversation, with every change undoable; a Bots panel in the sidebar with each bot's photo, live state and settings; bots asking other bots in the same turn; model errors explained by the bot in plain words.
• Memory in two layers: the persona, always present, and the facts, saved one by one by topic and searched automatically once the memory grows.
• The brain: a hidden subagent per bot that only searches and reads. It looks ahead (a trip, a purchase, a date), takes tasks from the bot, and, when the bot plays a guiding role (therapist, teacher, coach, mentor), leaves the technique of that craft as an intent for the bot to apply in its own words. A quick triage keeps it idle when there is nothing to do; once started, it stays for the conversation.
• Voice (optional): dictation through the Harness's official microphone with your own speech service (ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Groq, Mistral, Deepgram, or an OpenAI-format server), a voice per bot with a Listen button on every answer, and a live voice conversation tab (today with ElevenLabs).

Before you install

• Language: the interface and the text the bots receive are in Brazilian Portuguese for now, and the bots are tuned for conversations in Portuguese. The code and docs are in English.
• Read Responsible use. A bot is not a professional, even in a guiding role; the plugin adds no content filter of its own.
• Keys are always your step. Voice keys go in the plugin's voice section and into the Harness credential vault, never in a chat. See Credentials.
