v0.2.0
What's Changed
Video Frames
- Added
video framesto export a first, last, numbered or timestamp-selected frame, a named frame set, or a whole-video sequence sampled by FPS or interval. - Export PNG, JPG or WebP with format-specific quality choices, scaling and configurable filenames for frame sets and sequences.
- Added guided Interactive frame export with a coarse terminal timeline picker for quick selection, interval count estimates and generated filename previews.
- Added live frame-processing and write progress, with plain progress output when redirected and confirmed counts and destinations in the final result.
- Preserve supported source color samples during decoding and scaling, and embed ICC profiles in PNG, JPG and WebP. Support covers selected 8-bit RGB/YUV sources with BT.709 primaries and BT.709 or sRGB transfer. HDR, wider primaries, higher bit depths and reported source ICC profiles are rejected.
- Protect source media and unrelated destination files. Overwrite replaces only matching export images. Failure or cancellation retains completed images and reports partial results.
- Frames requires FFmpeg, FFprobe and the requested image encoder. Doctor now reports tool availability and advertised PNG, JPG and WebP encoder support. Source compatibility is checked during export.
Reliability And Output
- Fixed valid PNG frame exports failing when their image data spans many chunks.
- Improved cancellation propagation in inline text/path editors and bounded streaming-tool shutdown, retaining encoder diagnostics on input failure.
- Frames and GIF now distinguish file and folder destinations and show concrete paths in export confirmation and results.
Compatibility
- Codex SDK baseline for
v0.2.0:0.160.0. - Node.js requirement remains
>=22.23.0. - Video frames native export verification covers macOS and bounded synthetic sources. Linux/Windows execution and viewer behavior remain unverified.
