MusicNest v1.3.1 introduces full offline playback, on-device intelligence powered by Nest Brain AI, natural-language playlist generation, tablet landscape optimizations, and complete control over audio quality and storage.

What’s New

  • Offline Song Downloads: Download your favorite tracks directly to local storage for uninterrupted offline playback anytime.
  • Smart Auto-Offline Playlist: A dynamic offline mix created and updated daily based on your personal music taste. Configurable download settings let you restrict synchronization to Wi-Fi only or allow downloads over mobile data.
  • Liked Songs Collection: Like any track with one tap to automatically aggregate it inside your dedicated Liked Music section in the Library tab.
  • Nest Mix AI: Prompt-driven playlist creation. Simply enter a description of what you want to hear (e.g., "sad songs because I am feeling down, and please add Dard Dilo Ke by Mohammad Irfan"), and the AI builds a custom playlist around your mood.
  • On-Device Listening Insights: A private listening trends chart that tracks your habits locally, revealing your most-played songs and top artists without sending your data to external servers.
  • Karaoke-Style Syllable Synced Lyrics: Upgraded lyrics engine supporting real-time, syllable-by-syllable vocal highlighting for an authentic sing-along experience.
  • Media Output Switcher: Seamlessly view and switch audio routing directly in the player between Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi/cast targets, and wired endpoints.
  • MusicNest Labs: Experimental playback playground allowing you to apply custom audio profiles such as slowed + reverb and custom reverberation presets.

  • Enhanced Search Discovery: Added quick-filter mood and genre tags to the search screen, paired with an improved ranking algorithm for higher-accuracy search matches.

Tablet & Landscape Optimizations

  • Refined Tablet UI: Reduced extraneous padding and improved spacing for tablets operating in landscape orientation.
  • Landscape Player & Mini-Player: Redesigned both the full-screen player interface and the compact mini-player bar for comfortable navigation on widescreen layouts.

Library & Settings Customization

  • Library Tile Grid: Added dedicated tiles for quick access to features like Nest Mix AI and Spotify Scribe.
  • Audio & Download Quality Controls: Granular settings to independently configure streaming bitrate and offline download quality.

Removals & Organization

  • Spotify Scribe Banner: Removed the intrusive top banner for Spotify Scribe from the Library screen and migrated it into a clean, integrated tile within the main Library grid.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where opening an artist profile could fail to load details or display a blank page.
  • Fixed layout transition glitches on the mini-player when rotating tablets between portrait and landscape modes.
