MC7 Studio 0.1.0 is the first public release of an independent configurator for the Turtle Beach Command Series MC7 mouse, with native applications for Linux, Windows and Apple Silicon Macs.

Downloads

Platform Download Requirements
Linux MC7-Studio-0.1.0-x86_64.AppImage x86_64, glibc 2.35 or newer, graphical desktop
Windows MC7-Studio-0.1.0-windows-x86_64.zip 64-bit Windows 10 or newer
macOS MC7-Studio-0.1.0-macos-arm64.zip Apple Silicon M1 or newer, macOS 13 or newer

Each application includes Python, Qt, HIDAPI, 7-Zip and the desktop dependencies. Verify the adjacent .sha256 checksum before launching. Python wheels and source archives are also available.

On Linux, make the AppImage executable and install the USB access rule through Device → Check and install host integration…. On Windows, extract the entire ZIP and run MC7-Studio.exe; keep MC7-Studio-CLI.exe and _internal beside it. On macOS, extract the ZIP in Finder and move MC7 Studio.app to Applications.

The Windows build is unsigned. The macOS build is ad-hoc signed and is not Apple notarized, so the operating system may require explicit approval on first launch.

Features

  • Five onboard profiles, portable local presets, and supported automatic profile switching.
  • Five DPI stages, polling rate, Motion Sync, debounce, angle controls and guided calibration.
  • Button assignments, Easy-Shift layers, Easy-Aim, Easy-Wheel, shortcuts and macros.
  • Lighting effects, colors, brightness and speed.
  • LCD page and tile editing, custom backgrounds, icons, countdowns and live system values.
  • Host-assisted application, file, website, desktop media and OBS actions.
  • Battery monitoring, tray support and supported start-at-login integration.
  • Official firmware downloads, package inspection, guarded upgrade preparation and settings-backup restoration.

Validation and limitations

The Linux application has been tested with a directly connected MC7 on firmware 5.09, including an upgrade from 5.04. Windows and macOS builds are checked on native GitHub runners, including GUI startup, HIDAPI entry points, helper communication, image support and 7-Zip. Physical mouse acceptance on those platforms is still pending.

Connect the mouse directly by USB. Receiver, wireless and Bluetooth configuration are unavailable. Windows firmware installation is disabled. Downgrades, interrupted-update recovery and transmitter firmware installation remain unvalidated. Settings backups are not complete firmware images and do not preserve custom background pixels; retain original images and exported presets.

See Getting started, the User guide, Desktop integrations, and Firmware and recovery.
