MC7 Studio 0.2.0
MC7 Studio 0.2 adds Linux configuration through the MC7's 2.4 GHz USB receiver, including sensor settings, lighting and power controls.

Verify the adjacent SHA-256 checksum before launching. Windows builds are unsigned; macOS builds are ad-hoc signed and are not notarized. Python wheels, source archives, firmware provenance metadata and corresponding sources are included.
Changes
- Recognize the 2.4 GHz receiver as a configurable mouse connection on Linux.
- Wait for fresh wireless replies and handle zero padding on LCD/page records.
- Read receiver lighting records explicitly, retaining every setting byte and checking repeated reads without inventing an absent checksum.
- Verify wireless lighting and power edits with the existing baseline, conflict and readback guards.
- Pair receiver reporting pause/resume around configuration and attempt resumption on failed operations.
- Prevent the ECO + energy-saving combination that disconnects configuration on the tested firmware; reject it before any HID report is sent.
- Display the wireless connection and its polling rate correctly.
- Disable Apply when a page's required settings could not be read.
- Refresh the README, installation examples, official mouse illustration and native application screenshots.
Validation and limits
Linux hardware acceptance covers all five profile reads and reversible DPI, lighting and power changes on mouse firmware 5.09. The package workflows test Linux, Windows and macOS, launch the native applications, verify bundled helper communication and HIDAPI, and check the AppImage on Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch.
Wireless configuration is Linux-only. Choose ECO mode or energy saving, one at a time; enabling both on mouse firmware 5.09 / receiver firmware 5.02 disconnects configuration access while pointer input still works. Use USB to combine them. Custom calibration, image transfers, long-running LCD services and 8 kHz behavior still need wireless hardware acceptance; use USB for those workflows. Windows/macOS physical mouse acceptance remains pending. Bluetooth configuration, pairing and receiver firmware installation are unavailable. Firmware workflows require a direct USB cable, and Windows firmware installation is disabled.
