Agora 0.1.0

@dgiunchi dgiunchi released this 30 Oct 22:58

First release of Agora: a quota-aware loop that runs the coding agents you already have (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Aider, ...) through plan / review / build / inspect, where a different provider always reviews, a fresh session inspects, approvals are bound to the plan's SHA256, every turn is bracketed by a working-tree fingerprint, and fallback on a rate limit or timeout is explicit and logged.

What is in 0.1.0

  • Three strategies (collaborative, adversarial, hybrid), a SQLite quota ledger with learned caps and cooldowns, a Thompson-sampling allocator with hard filters for capability, headroom and provider independence, [profiles], and explicit fallback.
  • Decision models: catalog entries with kind = "decision" (BeatAPI JEV, APINex, Cloudflare Clef, OpenRouter Mercury Decide, or a FreeLLMAPI gateway) answer typed choice / yes-no / score questions to pick the strategy (--strategy auto), the allocation preset (--allocation auto) and to arbitrate red-team findings as a third provider (--judge decision). A decision is never an approval; every answer and every fallback is logged.
  • Three bundled use cases with recorded live runs on Claude Code and Codex: a feature with tests, a red-teamed parser, and a decision memo (the deliverable need not be code).
  • 135 tests on fake agents and a fake decision server, zero quota, CI on Ubuntu, Windows and macOS with Python 3.11 and 3.13.
  • Two independent adversarial reviews before this release; the 56 findings and what was done about each are in VALIDATION.md.

Install

pipx install agora-loop # or: pipx install git+https://github.com/dgiunchi/agora
agora agents init # keep the agents you have
agora agents doctor
agora run "add CSV import" --strategy hybrid --proof-cmd "pytest -q" --dry-run

Known limits: two providers exercised live (Claude Code, Codex); the LLM judge and the decision models have not run live yet (the latter need a free key, see VALIDATION.md); headless CLIs inherit the host's hooks, which can make turns slow.
