Accessibility Checklist 0.1.1
digicyfr-accessibility-checklist 0.1.1 release notes
Free GPL-2.0-or-later release for manual WordPress ZIP installation. Source: https://github.com/digicyfr/digicyfr-accessibility-checklist. The protected release/0.1.1 branch and v0.1.1 tag record the reviewed source. Install the attached ZIP, not GitHub's source archive, and check its SHA-256 sidecar.
Fix since 0.1.0
The new-observation form's guided instructions now use a named group role. The v0.1.0 ZIP had an aria-label on a generic div; axe-core flagged that label as unreliable for assistive technology. A focused integration assertion guards the repaired markup. The v0.1.0 tag, branch, and ZIP have not been changed.
Included and tested scope
The plugin records private human accessibility observations for a specific page or journey. Six guided checks, date, assignee, note, evidence URL, filters, and guarded CSV are included. It does not scan a site or issue a WCAG conformance verdict.
WordPress 7.1, PHP 8.3.33 and MariaDB 11.4.13 are the tested stack. The exact ZIP passes syntax, WordPress integration, permissions and uninstall checks. Browser and axe-core evidence is in docs/QA-0.1.1.md.
Limits
Manual screen-reader use, multisite behavior, and long-term operational use have not been verified. Some native-control color-contrast checks are inconclusive in automated tooling. Records and notes are deleted on uninstall. The unique Update URI prevents a directory slug collision but does not provide automatic updates. WordPress.org distribution would require separate review.
0.1.0 release candidate
Superseded: Use the stable v0.1.1 release. This v0.1.0 ZIP retains the guidance-label issue documented below.
Pre-release: Manual accessibility and environment checks listed below remain open. This is a self-hosted release candidate.
digicyfr-accessibility-checklist 0.1.0 release notes
This is the first free GPL-2.0-or-later release for manual ZIP installation. Source: https://github.com/digicyfr/digicyfr-accessibility-checklist. The release/0.1.0 branch records the reviewed version. The branch alone is source code; use the attached digicyfr-accessibility-checklist-0.1.0.zip and verify its .sha256 sidecar before installation.
Included
Private human accessibility observations with six guided checks, explicit page/journey scope, date, assignee, note, evidence URL, filters, and guarded CSV.
Verification and compatibility
WordPress 7.1, PHP 8.3.33 and MariaDB 11.4.13. The exact public GitHub ZIP passed installation and integration fixtures including permissions and uninstall. A post-tag Chromium check on that ZIP passed admin form validation, save and focus handling, combined filters, guarded CSV export, 390px layouts, and anonymous/Editor access denial. PHP/JS syntax and WPCS passed. Plugin Check ran on an earlier byte-different ZIP with identical runtime files and reported only the documented self-host distribution findings.
Limits and follow-up checks
A manual screen-reader pass, multisite behavior, and long-term operational use remain untested. This plugin does not scan, fix, score or certify WCAG conformance. Uninstall permanently deletes observations, including private notes.
The Update URI protects this self-hosted plugin from an unrelated WordPress.org plugin with the same slug. It does not provide automatic updates. WordPress.org submission would need a separate review and distribution-specific changes. See the post-tag QA record on main for the detailed evidence and screenshots.
Accessibility audit finding (2026-11-05)
An axe-core 4.10.3 check of this exact v0.1.0 ZIP found one plugin-owned item needing review: the new-observation guidance had aria-label on a generic <div>, where the label is not reliably exposed. Audit evidence identifies the target and WordPress core baseline. Main now adds role="group", with a focused regression assertion and a clear targeted axe rerun. The attached v0.1.0 ZIP remains unchanged and still has the old markup. The corrected, validated ZIP is available in v0.1.1. Manual screen-reader review remains open.
