Release of Canton 2.3.8

Canton 2.3.8 has been released on December 16, 2022. You can download the Daml Open Source edition from the Daml Connect Github Release Section. The Enterprise edition is available on Artifactory.

Summary

This release comes with a set of bug fixes. Users are advised to upgrade to it.

What’s New

Security and Bugfixes

  • We fixed a clean shutdown issue that sometimes caused a sequencer to hang during shutdown.
  • We fixed an issue in the database sequencer where sequencer failover would not succeed if the failover was triggered by a sequencer database outage.
  • Fixed a deadlock that may occur - with very low probability - if a command is rejected for the first time.
