Dojix 1.0.0
Dojix 1.0.0 is the first public release of Dojix, a free, open-source trade journal for forex traders on the Mac. Import your trade history and Dojix shows you, in dollars, which sessions, hours, days and pairs make you money and which cost you.
Highlights
- Imports: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 (StrategyAnalytics CSV), cTrader, TradingView, OANDA (CSV or API), Interactive Brokers, thinkorswim, NinjaTrader, and any other CSV through column mapping. Re-importing never creates duplicates.
- Journal, dashboard and 60+ analytics: grades, replay, notes, tags, emotions, checklists and screenshots; equity curve, drawdown, heatmaps, Monte Carlo, risk of ruin, prop-firm tracker and more.
- Edge Report: your top places to make and lose money, exportable as PDF or CSV.
- Pulse: session clock, economic calendar with news "danger zones", optional live prices.
- Private by design: the journal is encrypted on disk (AES-256-GCM) and stays on your Mac. No account, no subscription, no telemetry.
- App Lock: seals the journal key with your password and locks after an idle time you choose (default 15 minutes), on sleep, screen lock, hide and minimize.
- Older-copy check: an older copy of the journal put back on disk is never opened silently.
- Password-protected backups and validated restores.
- Sample trades: 30 fictional trades to explore before importing your own.
- Optional AI recommendations with your own Anthropic API key; only summary statistics are sent, and only when you click Run Analysis.
Install
Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Download Dojix-macOS-unsigned.zip below, unzip it and drag Dojix.app to Applications. You can check the download against Dojix-macOS-unsigned.zip.sha256.
This build is not signed with an Apple Developer ID or notarized, so macOS blocks the first launch. Right-click (or Control-click) Dojix.app and choose Open, then Open again. If there is no Open button, try to open it once, then go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. You can also build Dojix from source (see the README).
A Windows version is coming soon.
Dojix is free software under the GNU GPL v3.0. It is a journaling tool, not financial advice.
