A dark theme for ruTorrent in the Dracula palette, and more than a recolor.

What is in it

  • The Dracula palette across the whole interface: lists, dialogs, menus, plugin consoles.
  • No image files. Every glyph is an inline SVG from Phosphor Icons, sharp at any zoom and on a HiDPI screen.
  • Full keyboard control, dialogs included. Tab moves between the regions, arrows move inside one. Bare letters act on the selection: S start, P pause, T stop, U reannounce, R force recheck. F1 shows every command and key on one screen.
  • A list that says what state a torrent is in. Stopped reads as stopped, and a tracker that did not answer no longer looks like a disk error.
  • One row height: 30px across every list, 26px with ruTorrent's compact mode on.
  • 14px type, Inter for the interface and JetBrains Mono for hashes and paths, bundled as woff2 with their OFL licenses. Nothing is fetched from a CDN.
  • ruTorrent's mobile plugin is themed too. Its Light setting gets Alucard, the light palette from the same specification.

Install

Download Dracula.tar.gz below, unpack it, and copy the Dracula folder into .../ruTorrent/plugins/theme/themes/. Pick Dracula in Settings on the General page, next to the language selector, then reload.

Requirements

ruTorrent 5.0.0 or newer. The phone interface needs 5.3.10, where the mobile plugin first appears.
