Role Management

This menu is part of the Settings Menu and is accessed via the menu in the upper right corner of the UI. All existing roles are displayed as list. Their properties (Display Name, Description) can be changed for each role.

Add role

To add a new role click on + Add new Role. In the popup you must set a (unique) name, a name that is displayed in the user management and a short description of the role. After a click on + Add the role is created and added to the role list.

Delete role

Roles can be deleted by clicking on the three-dot menu (column options) and choose Delete.

Edit role

You can change a roles's display name, description as well as their permissions. Changes are not stored automatically, so make sure to save the changes (indicated by a yellow dot).

Edit display name & description

To edit these fields simply click in the desired field and change it to the new content.

Add Permissions

Permissions are predefined by Spacialist and can not be edited. Permissions are used to restrict/allow certain actions/view to roles.

Each role can have one or more permissions. By clicking on the Add permissions dropdown in the Permissions column, you can select one or more of the available permissions.
