  • The Zotero panel answers in full again: the answers of the panel's buttons (summary, from introduction to conclusions, explain) had taught the AI to answer every question after them in one line, without reading the paper. They now reach it only as background.

  • Supplementary files: for papers that are open access in Europe PMC, Ganglion gets their supplementary documents, attaches them in Zotero ("Supplementary - …"), and reads them as the paper's part "Supplement" (never instead of the paper). A few each week through the Radar, or one paper at a time from its side panel.

  • Answers: Ganglion looks outside your library only when you ask for it (or press the button that offers it); the AI's working notes ("The user wants…", "I've got the details…") no longer open an answer; a broad topic of a word or two is kept to its main themes.

  • Fixes from a code review: "Both" in "Add the missing papers" now gives recent papers as well as the most cited; the number check no longer lets an invented number through; the Open menu in a citation card no longer closes by itself; "In Zotero, at the cited sentence" always opens the sentence of the citation you chose; a PDF you add in Zotero is seen within minutes; Copy and Word wait for the checked answer; the desktop app's extra window no longer hides the main one; "Ask about this paper" works for any paper.

  • Find with Ganglion, inside Zotero: a purple button beside Zotero's search box in the library (not beside an open paper) opens a purple search of its own: describe a paper in your own words ("the one where the hippocampus responds after the clip ends, around 2013"), and Ganglion lists the papers of your library that fit, best first, each with a line on why. Click selects it in Zotero; double-click opens it. After a search in Zotero's own box, the button offers the same words. (Plugin 1.10.14.) On 8 descriptions from memory, the right paper came first each time, in 2-4 seconds.

  • Citations checked against the paper: a citation that no passage of the paper matches by its words is checked once by the AI against the paper's nearest passages (chosen by the claim's telling words). When the paper doesn't say it, the citation's card says "Not found in this paper's text". Measured on 200 real answers (2,338 citations): 2 marked, both real errors; on 25 papers with planted misattributions: 17 of 18 caught, and no true claim marked.

  • A question about one figure ("Nguyen fig 6") gets the figure's image at the top of the answer.

  • Figures follow the paper's text: when a paper's text changes (read again from its own PDF), its figures are made again; the browser no longer keeps an older image. A file deleted in Zotero leaves Ganglion at the next sync, with any text read from it.

  • Shared library: Zotero also looks for open PDFs of papers in shared libraries (it only attaches a file to a paper already there).

  • Settings → Zotero: how many of your papers have their full text in Ganglion, with a link to the ones that don't.

  • Literature review: by default, papers with only an abstract are not used as evidence; they are listed at the end, "To read: no full text yet".

  • The Radar builds your field, into your own library:

    • Papers Ganglion adds to Zotero (from the Radar, "Add the missing papers", a paper from outside the library) go to your own library, and Zotero then looks for an open PDF of each, one by one while it is open, with no pop-ups (plugin 1.10.13). What it can't find stays a link (DOI).
    • Radar papers go into folders by topic, named by your keywords ("Radar › Event segmentation"), not by date.
    • Library → Full texts: how many papers have their full text in Ganglion, the ones that don't and why (Zotero has a PDF not read yet, Zotero is looking, no open PDF), and "Get the full texts", which reads the PDFs Zotero already has and has Zotero look for the rest (your own library only). Each week the Radar also queues a few papers of your own library that have no PDF.
    • The weekly summary has a new section, "Missing from your field": the most cited papers on your main topics that your library lacks, a few each week, never the same one twice, with "Add to Zotero" (in the email and in the app).
  • Each paper reads only its own PDF: a file attached to the wrong item (another paper's PDF dragged onto it) is no longer used as the paper's text or for its figures: Ganglion checks the title, DOI or first author on the first pages. Papers that already hold such a text are read again from their own PDF at the next sync. (This was why Nguyen 2026 showed Zacks 2007's Figure 6.)

  • Evidence kept apart is gone (from the answer-style menu and from Settings; a saved "on" no longer changes answers).

  • A paper whose PDF is in the Zotero cloud but not on this computer: Open goes to its web page (DOI), and the card says its full text is in the cloud, so Ganglion still cites it as a full text; to read it in Zotero, download the PDF from that page, add it to Zotero and sync.

  • Review fixes: the full-text rule now really reaches the model (a code comment had cut it off); a chat locked to one paper, or asked from the paper open in Zotero, answers from what Ganglion has of it and says when that is only the abstract; reading a PDF picks the longest one of a paper (not a supplement) and never replaces a full text already there; figure captions with ligatures (fi, fl) match; the tests no longer leave folders in Temp; moving fast between two citations of one paper no longer shows the first one's sentence in the second one's card.

  • Zotero pane header: one logo and the word "Ganglion", which no longer blinks away when the tab is clicked; the section is as tall as the pane and stays that size, so one scroll reaches Info (before, it grew as you scrolled) (plugin 1.10.12). In the library's list, Ganglion's section and its side button are gone; they show beside a paper open in the reader.

  • Fixes after a hard day of testing: "Figure N" in an answer is linked to a paper only when the same sentence cites it (before, it could take the paper cited last, and show another paper's figure under the wrong name); a figure is taken only from the page that carries the caption the paper's own text gives, never from review or reply pages; old figure images are made again. A hover card no longer shows the paper's title page as "the paper's sentence", and a sentence about the paper as a whole gets no passage; headings that run into their text ("Methods Participants…") are now found, and the card no longer claims a paper has no headings.

  • Full text: Ganglion now reads the PDF itself when Zotero's text index lacks it (up to 12 papers per sync), and a "Get the full text" button in the card and the paper's panel does it at once, or has Zotero look for a PDF. The rule "only full texts as evidence" is enforced in code: a sentence resting only on an abstract leaves the answer, and the paper is named in a closing note. Answers are asked to be about 250 words, and never to add other meanings of a word or facts from general knowledge. "What does X do" counts as a plain question of definition.

  • Zotero: opening a paper in Zotero always opens it locked to that paper in the pane (never the conversation you came from); a PDF that is only in the Zotero cloud is downloaded when opened; the Open menu offers "In Zotero on the web (its PDF)" when this computer's Zotero lacks the paper but the cloud has its PDF. The pane header shows the logo and "Ganglion" (plugin 1.10.10).

  • Full texts first: answers now rest on full texts by default: a paper Ganglion has only the abstract of is never used as evidence for a claim (it can still be named as something to read). Turn it off in Settings → Answers if you want abstracts to count.

  • Figures on hover: hover over "Figure 3" in an answer to see the figure small, from the paper's PDF; click it to enlarge, with Open in Zotero.

  • Citations that rest on the abstract only: when Ganglion has no full text of a cited paper, the citation card says so, and so does the paper's side panel. Both offer "Look for the PDF in Zotero" (Zotero's own Find Available PDF, done by the plugin 1.10.9; Zotero says in a pop-up what it found), and the paper's web page (DOI) stays there for adding it by hand. New setting, asked for in the chat: "Cite only papers whose full text Ganglion has".

  • Open menu: when Zotero on this computer has the paper but with no PDF, or does not have it, the card's Open menu offers only the paper's web page (DOI). Ganglion asks Zotero's plugin when the card opens. The Zotero pane header draws the logo beside "Ganglion" itself (plugin 1.10.8).

  • Zotero pane: the section header says "Ganglion" beside the logo again; the section is a little shorter than the pane and no longer pinned, so Info and the sections below it can be scrolled to (plugin 1.10.7). In the citation card, when Zotero on this computer has said it does not have a paper, the Open menu offers only its web page (DOI).

  • Open in Zotero: "In Zotero, at the start" now opens the paper in the reader (it used to only mark it in the list, and could mark another paper). "At the cited sentence" shows only when the card has the paper's own sentence, and opens exactly that place. If the paper is not in your Zotero, or has no PDF, Zotero now says so in a small pop-up instead of doing nothing (needs the Zotero plugin update, 1.10.6).

  • Menus stay on screen: the Open menu in a citation card (and the other Open menus) now opens up or down, wherever there is more room, scrolls if the window is very short, and is moved in from the screen edge, so it is never cut off.

  • Ask about this paper: from a citation's card and from the paper's side panel, it opens a new chat locked to that paper in a window of its own (in the app, a new Ganglion window; in a browser, a new tab). The chat you are in is never replaced. The card also has the Open me...

  • Ask about this paper: from a citation's card and from the paper's side panel, it opens a new chat locked to that paper in a window of its own (in the app, a new Ganglion window; in a browser, a new tab). The chat you are in is never replaced. The card also has the Open menu (the publisher's page, Zotero at the start, Zotero at the cited sentence), and says when a paper's text has no section headings so the part of the paper is not marked.

  • Citation card: the "Check against the paper" button is gone. With the paper's own sentence (shown only when it matches strongly) the card is wide, in two columns: the sentence and its part of the paper, beside the paper's details. With no sentence it is one column, and says which part of the paper the claim comes from when that is known. "Ask about this paper in a new chat" is always there.

  • Ask about this paper: a button in the citation card opens a new chat locked to that paper, in a new tab, so the chat you are in stays as it is.

  • Citation card: it now says plainly which part of the paper the claim comes from (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion), without labelling it a finding or an interpretation. What to make of it is yours; "Check against the paper" gives the paper's sentence when you want more.

  • Citations are simpler: every citation stays the usual violet. Hover for a small label (Finding, Interpretation or Background, and the part of the paper it comes from) with the paper's details beside it, wide instead of tall. The new button "Check against the paper" reads that one claim against the paper with the AI (Hebrew too) and shows the paper's sentence, or says no passage backs it. Answers no longer wait for an AI check of every citation.

  • Answers: the cursor stops as soon as the text is written, with a line saying the citations are being checked. A number the papers don't contain is fixed in its own sentence instead of writing the whole answer again.

  • Word: a citation that begins a sentence inside bold stays a live Zotero citation (it used to become a plain link, and Refresh could drop the paper from the bibliography).

  • Record checks: the card warns when a Zotero record has no authors (shown as "Anon.").

  • Citation colours: every citation in an answer is coloured by what the paper says there (a finding, the authors' interpretation, background, a method, Ganglion's own step, or no matching passage), with a legend under the answer. One hover card shows the part of the paper and the paper's own sentence.

  • AI check of each citation: after an answer is written, the AI reads each claim against the paper's passages. A claim the paper only partly supports says so; a claim no passage backs is marked grey instead of given a wrong label.

  • Short answers to plain definitions: "What is episodic memory?" gets a direct answer in a short paragraph, without drifting into your own research. Other answers state a claim no more strongly than the papers do, and don't end with a paragraph about your work unless you ask.

  • Record check: the hover card warns when the journal in your Zotero record differs from Crossref's.

  • Add missing papers: the chat button (when your library doesn't cover a topic) now adds the missing papers, not only foundations. Choose the most cited, the newest (last 3 years: new directions) or both, and the Zotero library and new folder.

  • Hover over a citation: a card shows the paper's o...

  • Hover over a citation: a card shows the paper's own sentence that the claim rests on, which part of the paper it is from, and what kind of statement it is: a finding, the authors' interpretation (worded tentatively when it is), background, a method, or Ganglion's own reading. No match means no label.

  • Organize my Zotero (Settings): pick a library and Ganglion proposes a clearer arrangement of its folders and the topics your library is missing (for your question, lab, PI and the field's foundations). It only proposes at first. When you approve, it makes copies: a new folder "Ganglion – plan " with the folders you chose; nothing is moved, renamed, emptied or deleted. A shared library is left alone unless you choose it and confirm.

  • Foundational papers: when an answer says your library doesn't cover a topic, a button finds the most cited papers on it that you lack and adds the ones you choose to a new Zotero folder, in your library or a shared one (with a confirmation).

  • Who cites you and your PI: once your author profile is confirmed, the Radar finds the works that cite you and your PI (never your own), saves them with your cited papers to the folders "Works citing me" and "Works citing my PI" (split into topics when there are enough), and sends one phone notification for each new citing paper. Settings → About you shows them, with a switch for the alert.

  • Fixes: citations that were not real paper keys vanished from some answers; the assistant now rewrites such an answer once with real keys. "Your PI's papers" in Settings stopped after 100 papers because OpenAlex now asks for a key to page further; it pages plainly again.

  • Writing: two tabs. "Paper draft" is the old check (your citations against the papers you cite). The new "Talk or any other file" checks a PowerPoint, PDF, Word or text file against papers you choose: pick a folder or single papers, or the papers of a recent chat, then fact-check, papers as reviewers, or feedback. The "Check a file" button left the prompt box; a chat locked to papers has "Check a file against them".

  • Settings: "Why Ganglion?" opens with the one-line meaning of the name.

  • Evidence kept apart: each passage now says which part of the paper it is from (Results, Discussion…), and answers weigh it: what the data show is stated plainly, what the authors propose is worded as theirs. A new switch, "Evidence apart" (answer style menu and Settings), puts it under labels: what the paper shows, what the authors propose, and Ganglion's own reading. The fact-check of a file also marks a claim as partly supported when it states as fact what the paper only proposes.

  • Check a file: a new "Check a file" button in the prompt box. Give it a draft, a PDF or a talk (PowerPoint) and choose: fact-check against the chat's papers (each claim: supported, partly, contradicted, not found), the papers as reviewers (each reads your file as its author would), or feedback on clarity and structure (slide by slide for a talk). The review is in the conversation, so you can go on asking; a Word file comes back with it (comments in your own file for Word).

  • Folder picker: the top folder of a library has a tick. Untick one sub-folder of a ticked folder and the rest stay ticked (the folder shows as partly ticked). A folder of one paper has no Select all/None, and ticking its paper ticks the folder. "Unlock from the papers" when a chat is locked to several.

  • Answers: what the results show is stated plainly; what the authors propose is worded as their proposal; a step of the assistant's own is marked as its own. A request in English with pasted Hebrew is answered in English.

  • Zotero panel: "Download the plugin" now works: it saves the file in Downloads and shows it (or copies the link).

  • Zotero panel: less crowded. The selected text's buttons sit above its quote; the paper's buttons open from "This paper ▾" beside Brief and STE.

  • Zotero panel: the buttons wrap onto rows (no sideways scroll). A figure explanation shows the whole paper title. "Similar ... in your library" replaces "in earlier work", since matches can be newer.

  • Zotero panel: the text you select becomes a quote on the question box (✕ leaves it out); its buttons and the paper's buttons share one row above the box. The reader button has a larger logo (plugin 1.10.5).

  • Zotero panel: tidier. No top bar;...

No top bar; Brief and STE sit beside the question box; the selection block shows only when text is selected; long answers fold behind "Show all". The panel language is a setting (Settings, Zotero). The library toolbar button is gone; the reader button is the logo alone (plugin 1.10.4).

  • Chat folder picker: a folder's name opens it, its tick selects it. Papers are in author order. Search also finds papers (author, year, title). Tick more papers into a chat that has started. A lock on several papers gets one name; a lock on one shows its short name.

  • Zotero: answers sit in the paper's chat; the section header is the logo only (plugin 1.10.2).

  • Chat folder picker: the arrow beside a last folder opens its papers, with Select all, None and ticks; the chat locks to the ones you choose (up to 60).

  • Lock by words: say "lock Hasson 2008" in a chat (it asks if unclear); after an answer built on one paper, a button offers to lock to it.

  • Fix: "one paper" instead of "1 papers".

  • Zotero: Ganglion now sits inside Zotero's own item pane, first, with a button in the library toolbar. One chat per paper, locked to it, kept in Ganglion; the buttons' answers join it.

  • Library: tick papers and ask only about them. A locked chat is opened to the whole library with "Unlock from the paper".

  • Summary email: "Add to Zotero" for each paper and for all, into Radar › the day (from a phone or a computer paired with Ganglion).

  • Notifications are general on every channel. ICOM is in the meetings list.

  • Fixes: citations that came out empty, a working note that leaked into an answer, "124 ± 4" read from PDFs, figure links that went to the wrong page.

  • Follow-up buttons show the paper's name, not a code.

  • Settings: a Sync Zotero button at the bottom.

  • Weekly email: each paper appears once (0.10.66).
