Releases: eizedev/ha-managed-switch

v0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 02 Nov 21:40
231f9e7

Added

  • The switch card comes with the integration: it loads in Home Assistant on its own, with
    nothing to install, and is updated together with the integration. Its source moved here from
    eizedev/managed-switch-card. If you installed the card from that repository, remove it in
    HACS and its dashboard resource. Bug reports and feature requests ask which part they are
    about.

v0.5.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 02 Nov 09:20

Fixed

  • Port slower than before (speed_dropped) no longer fires for a speed a port shows only
    briefly. It fires once the lower speed is read on two polls in a row, and only against a speed
    the port held for at least an hour (or had when Home Assistant started). A short higher speed
    during link negotiation, or a device that runs faster for a few minutes, no longer reports a
    drop; a real drop is reported one poll later than before.

Added

  • A Port … devices sensor per port: how many devices are on the port, 0 on an empty port.
    The Port … device sensor stays unknown there, since no device has a name; health checks
    that count long-unknown entities can leave it out and use the count instead.

v0.4.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 31 Oct 01:20

Added

  • A temperature sensor per sensor the switch reports, in °C, named as the switch names it:
    switches with the ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB, and the HPE Instant On 1930 8G 2SFP from its own table
    (aiosnmpswitch 0.3.0). The HPE 1920S reports no temperature. A sensor that appears later gets
    its entity with the next reading. Diagnostics list the readings, without sensor names.

v0.3.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 18:46

Changed

  • Model and firmware of a switch come from its ENTITY-MIB chassis entry when it has one
    (aiosnmpswitch 0.2.0), else from the system description as before. Switches whose description
    is not "model, firmware" (Cisco and others) show the right model; HPE switches show the same as
    before (#10).

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 17:36

Fixed

  • A switch is recognised after LLDP was turned on or off: reauthentication and Reconfigure no
    longer stop with "That is a different switch", and adding it again finds the existing entry
    (#12).
  • The device sensors look up the connected devices once per update and write only when the
    devices on their port changed, not on every update of any switch
    (#11).

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 17:09

Fixed

  • new_device tells whether the device is alone on its port (direct, devices_on_port). The
    blueprint reports only devices plugged in directly unless Only devices plugged in directly
    is off; a phone joining the router's Wi-Fi was reported as new on the port towards the router
    (#19).

v0.2.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 16:35

Added

  • WebSocket command managed_switch/ports: a switch's ports with their kind (port or trunk), trunk
    members, uplinks, PoE and the entity of each role, for the
    switch card.
  • Docs: the switch card and the command's reply; the demo photographs the card
    (screenshots.py --card). The card is installed separately; nothing changes for existing
    switches.
  • Screenshots in the README and on the website, from a demo instance (scripts/demo/) with three
    stand-in switches answering SNMP from the test data.
  • Docs: "Ideas and automations" with six example packages, loaded by the demo on every start.
  • Docs: what the SNMP read access must include, what is lost without each MIB, updating,
    entity IDs in other languages, minimum polling intervals, more troubleshooting.

Fixed

  • Port speed without decimal places.

v0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 15:19
7876d80

Changed

  • A port with several devices is named after the device that describes it best: the internet
    gateway (a device of the UPnP integration), then a device the others are linked to in the device
    registry, then the rest by name. The port to the router no longer shows the first client in the
    alphabet.

Fixed

  • Ports, trunks and PoE ports that appear after setup get their entities without reloading.
  • Example dashboard: names keep their brackets and other characters (escaped instead of removed).
  • Switches with SNMPv3 users of the same name but different passwords no longer share an SNMP
    engine, where they could replace each other's keys; the setup dialog's test uses an engine of
    its own.
  • A device seen again counts as recent for the remembered devices, so a device that is always
    there is not announced as new after 5000 others; a second sysUpTime wrap is no restart either.
  • Deprecated DeviceEntry.config_entries no longer used.

v0.1.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Oct 14:33

First release.

Added

  • Config flow for SNMPv3 and SNMPv1/v2c, with reauthentication, reconfiguration and options
    for the two polling intervals.
  • Per switch: last restart, PoE budget and consumption, spanning tree changes.
  • Per port and trunk: link, speed, connected device (LLDP neighbours and the devices located on
    the port across all switches, named from the device registry), PoE status, received and sent
    traffic and errors (off by default).
  • Switch events (uplink or trunk down, slower port, restart, new device) and a notification
    blueprint; diagnostics without addresses; an example dashboard.
