New (8)

  • Colour input: a color input is a hex box with the system's colour picker beside it, kept in step.
  • Date input: a date input is the browser's own picker for a day, a time of day, or both.
  • Multiselect: a multiselect input lets a reader choose several options, and run gets them as a string[].
  • Errors under their input: an error that names an input is now shown under that input, after the field's name.
  • Rows input: a rows input is a list the reader adds to, removes from and reorders, and run gets a Row[].
  • Rate limits example: the rate-limits tool matches requests against an ordered list of path limits, for the methods you choose.
  • Secret input: a secret input is a password field with a button to show it, kept out of links.
  • Segmented select: "control": "segmented" draws a select's options as one row of native radio segments.

Changed (4)

  • Smaller pages: tools checked at build time no longer ship the manifest checker to readers.
  • Smaller stylesheets: the runtime's built stylesheets drop the whitespace CSS ignores, 0.4 KB less on every page.
  • Smaller runtime: the bytes renderer is a chunk of its own, so a page that draws no hex dump loads 0.8 KB less.
  • Shorter runtime: shorter developer messages and one rule for every tone take 0.1 KB more off every page.

Fixed (9)

  • Dates in error messages: a date in an error message no longer breaks across two lines on a phone.
  • Toggle colour: a toggle's checkbox is drawn in the accent colour instead of the browser's own blue.
  • Annotation labels: chart annotations close together no longer print their labels over each other.
  • Copying on plain HTTP: the share button and Copy now copy on a plain-HTTP page, where the Clipboard API is missing.
  • Code in help text: code in an input's description no longer breaks at a hyphen on a phone.
  • Numbers out of range: a number outside its range is marked as it is typed, and Run refuses it instead of clamping.
  • Readout on a narrow chart: a chart's readout stays inside the chart at a phone's width instead of running past the tool's border.
  • Rows number cells: a rows number cell out of range, or emptied, is refused under its row instead of clamped.
  • Threshold labels: chart thresholds close together no longer print their labels over each other.

New (9)

  • Text face on a field: mono: false sets a field's value in the text face instead of monospace.
  • Formatting in help text: an input's description can have paragraphs, lists, code, bold and coloured words.
  • More help behind a disclosure: details on an input puts the rest of its help behind a "More", closed until opened.
  • Style one input at a time: each input row names its input, its type and its role, and four new properties recolour it.
  • Inputs kept out of links: "share": false on an input tells a host's links to leave it out.
  • Reset off for a tool: "reset": false in a manifest leaves the Reset button out.
  • Tables that work on a phone: a table keeps its columns and scrolls on a narrow screen, with the row name kept in view. Changes a default
  • Column wrapping: a table column can say whether it holds sentences or short tokens.
  • Chart layout signal: data-fitted on a chart says it has its final layout.

New (5)

  • Reset button: puts a tool's inputs back where they started.
