Edit editor ate my empty lines and doesn't let me add them back

The edit editor here is eating my empty lines, and clicking the "Save" button (which works fine in other cases) doesn't do anything. I haven't done any modification on the message, but the behaviour is the same if I do.

The devtools console doesn't show any error or even message that seems related to this.

Here's the example text I've used for people that want to give a go at trying to reproduce it.

Some text:

* aaaaaa
* bbbbbb
* cccccc
* dddddd

Some more text:

* eeeeee
* fffffffffff

Observed on latest develop, with Firefox on GNU/Linux.

Edit: It turns out it does let me save, but only if I change something that's not (or more than) simply adding the empty lines back, i.e. it does nothing if I add the lines back, but lets me edit if I add the lines + add another character somewhere.
