Text in composer should start at same horizontal position as messages do #8111

The text shown in the composer should start at the same horizontal position so that it doesn't "jump" left or right after you submit it. The following shows how they are misaligned by a few pixels:

  • Browser: Firefox 66
  • OS: macOS 10.14.2
  • URL: All Riot versions affected

@nadonomy, I am assuming you agree this alignment should be improved? (The custom status work affects this area, so I may fix this at the same time.)

Tweak custom status avatar ring

Adjusts the appearance of the avatar ring to match the latest comps.

In addition, we now always render the surrounding button element, which
simplifies styling since the same size is now occupied both with and without the
feature.

This improves alignment between text in the composer and text in the message
history (element-hq/element-web#8111).

@jryans yeah feel free to correct if it's just nudging a couple of variables, especially if it's triggering your OCD as you work. ;)

Don't invest any real time into it though, as once we've frozen new feature dev this month we do plan on doing a sizing/alignment pass on the community list, room list, timeline, composer and right panel so all this will be spit polished further then.
