ELMA IoT v0.1.41
ELMA IoT v0.1.41
Firmware and OTA
- Add STA/AP transmit-power bars in the EXE and Full device Wi-Fi page, with persisted settings, compiled defaults and driver-reported active power. Requested range is 2–19.5 dBm; hardware may round/cap it. AP+STA shares the higher requested limit. Generic Full builds retain 15 dBm; existing saved device values override OTA defaults. Minimal recovery retains its maximum-power request without changing saved settings.
- Prevent recovery reboots from interrupting active OTA writes.
- Add 8 KiB PC-upload retries/resumption and compatibility with the legacy ELMA v0.1.27 multipart endpoint.
- Add Minimal Wi-Fi + OTA recovery images for ESP32, ESP32-S3 and ESP32-C3. These preserve saved ELMA NVS configuration and the existing partition table when installed over OTA, disable Wi-Fi sleep and remove the old STA transmit-power ceiling.
- Minimal firmware is a temporary recovery bridge: peripheral functions are unavailable until a matching Full image is installed. Use a trusted LAN and back up configuration first. No live-device flashing is performed as part of this release build.
- Include motor/control assignment, MQTT state reporting, UI edit responsiveness, boot/recovery and GitHub release-check fixes accumulated since v0.1.40.
ELMA Flasher
- Place Flash connection and Target chip first, with Full/Minimal firmware selection below; Compile and Save uses the same selection.
- Reuse unchanged, hash-verified firmware on IP upload retry instead of recompiling.
- Add LAN discovery, chip verification, foreign-firmware confirmation and safe cancellation controls.
- Add Tasmota/ESPHome configuration migration with reviewable GPIO/peripheral mapping; ESPHome GPIO import requires source YAML.
- Include native configuration Open/Save/Save As, manual board selection/autodetect controls and selected-board-only firmware assets.

Full images use ESP32-WROOM, ESP32-S3 Super Mini and ESP32-C3 board defaults. Build with the EXE for another supported board. Firmware .bin files are application-only OTA images, not merged full-flash images. All images are checked for chip family, version and OTA-slot size. Automated tests do not replace live-device verification.
Release verification
- All 10 firmware builds passed chip-family, v0.1.41 and OTA-partition-size checks.
- 15 offline JavaScript/Python Wi-Fi-power and interrupted-OTA regression tests passed, plus the native C++ radio-power policy assertions.
- The packaged EXE passed startup and native Designer smoke tests, including Wi-Fi sliders and existing board, motor, migration and flash controls.
- The packaged compiler built ESP32, ESP32-S3 and ESP32-C3 images with custom STA/AP power defaults and verified selected-board-only illustrations.
SHA256SUMS.txtcovers all ten firmware images and the EXE.
ELMA IoT v0.1.40
ELMA IoT v0.1.40
- ELMA Flasher now enforces one running instance per Windows user. Starting it again restores and activates the existing startup or Designer window.
- The portable download remains one self-contained EXE with no separately installed tools.
- On first launch, an ELMA-styled startup window appears immediately and shows smooth, byte-accurate extraction progress for the embedded compiler, Qt Designer runtime and ESP support files.
- Extraction reserves its final progress stages for runtime validation and atomic cache activation; the Device Designer starts only after the progress bar reaches 100%.
- The verified heavy runtime is cached under a versioned per-user application-data directory, so subsequent launches avoid unpacking the full portable bundle again.
- Designer configuration and locally generated firmware binaries remain beside the launcher EXE, not in the disposable runtime cache.
- Retains the v0.1.39 PC provisioning Designer, real Windows Wi-Fi/MQTT checks, build memory estimates, optimized ESP32-C3 Super Mini SVG, async configuration recovery and standard generated binary naming.

ELMA IoT v0.1.39
ELMA IoT v0.1.39
- ELMA Flasher is now a PC provisioning application instead of a simulated running-device dashboard.
- The separate native Flash USB Device tab was removed. Target detection, feature policy, compile, erase, flash, verification, cancellation and provisioning now live in the Firmware page.
- Device power/restart controls, internal/external storage and runtime media/motor panels are hidden in PC Designer mode while their real-device web equivalents remain unchanged.
- The PC Hardware page reports build-time flash and static-RAM estimates, then replaces them with confirmed binary and linker values after compilation.
- Wi-Fi Scan Networks uses the Windows Wi-Fi adapter. Connect validates the selected SSID and password through Windows and stores verified credentials for later firmware builds; PCs without Wi-Fi receive a direct adapter-unavailable message.
- MQTT Connect performs a real MQTT 3.1.1 broker authentication test from the PC and reports MQTT Connected only after a successful CONNACK.
- Designer configuration is asynchronously autosaved as
ELMA-Flasher.config.jsonbeside the portable EXE so edits survive application crashes and automatically reload; absent files cleanly fall back to defaults. - Every locally compiled application binary is retained beside the EXE under the standard project release-asset name.
- The ESP32-C3 Super Mini now uses the supplied optimized breadboard SVG with the physical top-to-bottom pin order preserved on both sides.
- The Info page now documents ELMA Flasher, supported chips, identity safety, capabilities and the ELMA IoT GitHub project.
- Includes the v0.1.37 DRV8833 startup/restart safety fix and v0.1.38 whole-interface responsive scaling.

ELMA IoT v0.1.38
ELMA IoT v0.1.38
- ELMA Flasher now centers the complete embedded interface while regular-size content fits the application window.
- Narrower windows proportionally zoom the entire Device Designer and Flash USB Device layouts as one unit, including text, controls, frames, illustrations, spacing, and relative positions.
- Horizontal document overflow is suppressed while vertical content remains naturally scrollable.
- The native packaged smoke test now resizes and validates both application tabs against the same responsive zoom rule.
- Includes the v0.1.37 DRV8833 startup and controlled-restart safety corrections.

ELMA IoT v0.1.37
ELMA IoT v0.1.37
- Fixed configured DRV8833 inputs floating during ESP startup by applying saved motor pin settings before the USB serial grace period and all network/service initialization.
- Controlled restarts now stop every motor channel and hold its configured outputs LOW across the ESP reset.
- Motor direction changes insert an all-inputs-off dead time before activating the requested direction.
- Motor commands verify the active GPIO level and report an actionable wiring or short-circuit error if the output cannot go HIGH.

ELMA IoT v0.1.36
ELMA IoT v0.1.36
- ELMA Flasher now uses one native window with Device Designer and Flash USB Device tabs at the top.
- Device Designer opens by default instead of launching from a separate flasher window.
- Switching to Flash USB Device saves the complete live designer form, including Wi-Fi fields, into the shared local configuration backend.
- Compile and Flash reads that shared configuration at click time, preventing stale settings from being built or provisioned.
- The Flash USB Device tab is focused on target selection, maximum-fit capabilities, erase policy, progress, logs, cancellation, compilation, flashing and provisioning.

ELMA IoT v0.1.35
ELMA IoT v0.1.35
- Added a saved status LED type selector for regular LEDs and RGB NeoPixel / WS2812 indicators.
- ESP32-C3 Designer firmware now defaults its onboard GPIO8 status indicator to NeoPixel mode.
- Link indication remains steady when connected, blinks in AP mode, and flashes while disconnected.
- Fixed USB provisioning of larger designer profiles by waiting for the target receive acknowledgement and transferring configuration in paced chunks.
- Retains native Device Designer compilation, USB flashing, peripheral wiring, Wi-Fi/MQTT provisioning, hardware-derived identity, and maximum-fit chip profiles.
