A non-essential question about the version number

I'm just curious about why the version number of your latest release is "5.5" but not "5.13"?

By the way, I am also maintaining a Dev-C++ fork by the end of 2019, but since I found this repository, I decided to regard the Embarcadero Dev-C++ as the orthodox successor of the previous generation of Dev-C++. :)

Yes, I appreciate the work you've done on the My Dev Cpp version.

The idea here is that this version (5.50) is more than just a point release (5.13) because we upgraded it from Delphi 6/7 to compile in the latest Delphi 10.4 release which is an ~18 year jump for the compiler. There were significant changes to remove AnsiString and AnsiChar. And there are more changes to come to bring more Delphi 10.4 features and updated RTL to benefit Dev C++.

But your version number is not "5.50" but "5.5", which seems to be "conflicted" with the version "5.5.x" that had been released few years ago.

Yes, I only really noticed the 5.50 vs. 5.5.3 difference after release. The next release will solve any version confusion.
