ChoCo MIDI Controller 1.1.0

This release improves control responsiveness and simplifies the OLED interface.

Changes

  • Independent key debouncing and nonblocking strum keep controls responsive; release handling, bass-note ownership and chord naming are corrected.
  • The direction arrow now matches horizontal and diagonal joystick movement.
  • The OLED emphasizes the current chord with clearer mode labels. The startup wordmark is static, and screensaver text stays within separate movement areas.
  • The README and hardware guide document the controls and a prototype bill of materials. Exact purchased component models remain to be confirmed.

Install

Download ChoCo-firmware.uf2, connect the Raspberry Pi Pico while holding BOOTSEL, and copy the file to the RPI-RP2 drive. The release also includes .elf and .bin builds.

Built from commit 9469beab08f9cbd2d8ce94e93bb88ade966fdc62 on main. The host tests and PlatformIO build passed in the release workflow. Physical validation of the final OLED presentation and USB edge cases is still pending.
