Upgrading

  • API tokens now use escalated-laravel's abilities: agent for the agent
routes, admin for the admin routes (DELETE tickets/{ref}, automations,
admin/api-tokens) and * for both. * tokens, including the ones the
mobile login issues, work as before. Tokens issued with the old form's
scoped abilities keep working at the level they describe (tickets:write
    acts as agent; tickets:read and reports:read as read-only agent;
replies:write as read-only agent that may also reply and add notes) and
never reach the admin routes. New tokens take only agent, admin and
*. A valid token without the ability now gets 403 instead of 401. See
    docs/access-control.md.
  • Status and priority changes through the staff REST API now go through the
same path as the ticket screen, so they fire the status and priority hooks:
    workflows run, webhooks receive ticket.status_changed,
    ticket.priority_changed, ticket.resolved, ticket.closed and
ticket.reopened, and notifications go out. Their activity entries use
    the ticket screen's old_status / new_status (old_priority /
new_priority) properties instead of from / to.

Security

  • Every token-authenticated staff route required the * ability, so a token
with Laravel's agent ability, or any scoped ability the wp-admin form
offered, was refused everywhere, and the only working tokens were full
access ones. Agent routes now need agent (or *) and admin routes need
admin (or *), as in escalated-laravel, so integrations can hold a token
that cannot delete tickets, edit automations or manage API tokens.

Fixed

  • PATCH/POST tickets/{ref}/status and tickets/{ref}/priority fired no
hooks, so workflows, webhooks, notifications and the reopened timestamp
reset skipped them. They now go through TicketService, as #121 did for
    replies.
