v0.3.2
E-Ink Retro v0.3.2
This patch release adapts E-Ink Retro to DSH 0.1.7-rc.1 and fixes several interaction details.
Changes
- Update theme hooks for the current DSH surfaces and remove the obsolete
@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-runtimeinjection. - Keep the user-message copy tooltip legible, square the right-sidebar guide card, and position switch thumbs independently of upstream transforms.
- Show horizontal scrolling on wide Markdown tables only when their content overflows.
- Keep popup options stationary while pressed so they do not create a transient scrollbar at the edge of a scroll viewport.

v0.3.1
E-Ink Retro v0.3.1
This is a one-fix release for the composer state before a Workspace is selected.
Changes
- Before a Workspace exists, DSH turns the resident composer into the picker
trigger and paints a 22px dashed ring over its real border with an SVG mask on
the card's::after. The mask keeps the host's radius whatever the card is set
to, and v0.3.0 looked for that trigger on a readonly editor that the current
client no longer renders, so the ring stayed on screen inside an otherwise
rectilinear theme. - The picker state is now matched by the composer text surface's role plus its
menu attribute, which covers both the readonly textarea an older client shipped
and the contenteditable text surface the current one renders, and which the
mode buttons cannot satisfy because they only mount once a Workspace exists. - In that state the card is the same solid paper panel used everywhere else: one
strong rule, the theme's rectilinear radius, no shadow, and no ring. The editor
inside it takes no frame of its own and no native text selection, since its only
copy is the placeholder painted under it.

v0.3.0
E-Ink Retro v0.3.0
This release follows the DSH 0.1.5 client. The hook layer the theme was built on
(data-dsh-surface, data-dsh-part, data-dsh-plugin) is gone from that build,
so every affected rule now uses a hook the current client actually emits, and the
surfaces reported against a live 0.1.5-rc.2 profile are repaired.
Changes
- Shell panes, dividers, the composer seat, settings plugin cards, and the
conversation scroll area follow the currentdata-slotanchors,
data-conversation-scroll, anddata-composer-seat. The removed hooks stay in
the selectors as fallbacks for older builds. - One frame per surface: the composer is a paper panel with a single rule and no
blurred shadow, composer popups keep their surface on the floating container,
code blocks are framed on all four sides with a squared banner, context and
prompt bodies keep one surface, and user messages are quiet paper cards. - Tab hover strengthens the host's bottom rule instead of filling the tab.
- Tool-call rows, sidebar section headers, the conversation header's split
control, settings steppers, and resize separators take the theme's rectilinear
radius, and round markers contributed by plugins are squared like the theme's
own state dots. - The usage widget and the desktop panel family get rectilinear geometry,
opaque surfaces with hard elevation, and immersive-mode grayscale coverage for
their decorative data hues.

v0.1.0
E-Ink Retro is a client-side theme for DeepSeek Harness with two presentation modes:
- Balanced applies paper-and-ink surfaces while retaining semantic status colors and user media.
- Immersive maps supported DSH surfaces and compatibility layers to a monochrome ink ramp.
The first release includes keyboard-focus styling, local theme settings, prebuilt client bundles, bilingual documentation, and a Windows/Linux CI verification matrix.
