Release Notes – v10.4.0

This release is mostly about Android. Until now the Android port did wired CarPlay and Android Auto only, now it does both wirelessly too. It is still experimental, so feedback from other Android devices is welcome.

Important

LIVI Link: firmware and the provisioning tool are now available here. Dongles running an older LIVI Link firmware still look for their OTA update in the release, so the next update has to be done once by hand. After that, OTA works again. The dongle protocol has not changed, so there is no need to rush.

Fix

• LIVI Link: the provisioning tool copies the vendor image again before the vendor's updater runs, so it no longer fails with "*_Update.img changed while it was checked"
• LIVI Link: if the dongle shows nothing on USB after the vendor firmware is installed (kernel without NCM), the tool keeps the vendor USB function and finds the dongle on its own Wi-Fi
• LIVI Link: OTA firmware is served from GitHub Pages

Improvements

• Android: shared VPN tunnel for the iPhone (NCM) and the LIVI Link, IPv6 link-local included
