@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 05 Nov 12:44

CRUN Nodes Next v0.4.2

CRUN models, AI Effects and AI Tools inside ComfyUI, with native image/video/audio connections, model-specific controls and reusable starter workflows.

Included

  • Studio families with model-version dropdowns and documented reference roles.
  • Native IMAGE/MASK, VIDEO and AUDIO outputs for supported operations, connected to Comfy Preview/Save nodes.
  • Prepare, Estimate and Generate actions, optional estimated-credit limits, persistent task reuse and explicit recovery.
  • Credit receipts showing quoted cost, provider-reported task charge and timestamped remaining balance when available.
  • 1,399 starter workflows, including 1,314 typed media chains and 85 clearly marked Advanced examples.
  • The v0.4.1 help/credit panel sizing safeguards and visible Advanced controls.

Validation

A real installed CRUN MiniMax H3 first-frame upload completed through native VIDEO to SaveVideo: a five-second 480P request, H.264 output at 480x480 and 24fps, with a provider-reported 12.5-credit charge. A separate Nano Banana Pro image round trip also passed. Other models, live audio and all reference combinations are not implied to be validated.

Release checks: 250 local Python tests (one platform-specific skip), 43 frontend tests, and GitHub CI on Windows and Ubuntu passed. The runtime ZIP passed CRC, SHA256, private-file exclusion and saved-credential scans. No paid generation was submitted for this release preparation.

Install

Download the ZIP below and extract its ComfyUI-CRUN-Nodes-Next folder into your ComfyUI custom_nodes directory. Keep installation backups outside custom_nodes. Install requirements.txt using Comfy's Python if required, then restart Comfy and configure the key through Settings > CRUN Next.

Registry package ID: crun-ai-nodes-next, published by felipeosilva. Version 0.4.2 has been submitted successfully. Open the Comfy Registry listing to check review and installation availability. Registry approval is separate from this GitHub download.

Independent community integration by Felipe Silva; not affiliated with CRUN or Comfy Org. See README.md, SECURITY.md and VALIDATION.md for requirements and limitations.

CRUN Next v0.4.1 — Node panel layout

Pre-release

@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 26 Oct 20:15

CRUN Nodes Next v0.4.1

This patch keeps the model-help and credit-receipt panels aligned with the node when it is resized, limits long text to the panel, and reduces the height of the empty credit receipt. The advanced-controls button stays visible while help text can scroll.

Validation: 43 frontend tests passed; the MiniMax H3 image-to-video node was inspected on an isolated ComfyUI 1.55.18 frontend, including resizing and opening advanced controls. No provider request or paid generation was made for this layout patch. The original reported overflow was not reproduced in the isolated test before the change.

Restart ComfyUI after installing so it loads the updated extension. This is a prerelease.

CRUN Next v0.4.0 — Native media workflows and reliable task reuse

Choose a tag to compare

@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 26 Oct 13:34

CRUN Next 0.4.0 makes the normal generation workflow return native Comfy media directly.

  • VIDEO first on video nodes; IMAGE + MASK on image nodes; AUDIO on speech/music nodes. No JSON-to-media conversion step is required for normal creative workflows.
  • Native character/motion/source/reference VIDEO and AUDIO inputs for documented simple media fields; clearer labels and Kling motion quality choices.
  • 1,314 native-media recipes now end in Preview/Save. Another 85 unsupported/unknown-output recipes are explicitly Advanced examples.
  • Same request and Take recover their existing task across restart. Increase Take for an intentional new generation; explicit resume can retrieve an existing ID. Unknown submissions never automatically create replacements.
  • Cross-process submission/history locking, non-evicting task mappings, verified durable local media reuse, alpha MASK and native AUDIO decoding.
  • Separate quote, provider-reported actual credits and refreshed remaining balance. Local missing-input feedback and model-specific reference guards.
  • Existing 0.3 node IDs, outputs and saved widget positions remain compatible under Advanced.

Validation: 250 Python checks (one Windows skip), 41 JavaScript checks, real Comfy executor Save Image/Prepare checks, and synthetic VIDEO/AUDIO sink execution with decoded outputs. One expressly approved Nano Banana Pro 1K live image task completed and was charged 8 credits; its local result reopened without a provider request. Live video/audio/reference-upload acceptance is not established. Windows browser automation was stopped by its URL safety check, so final interactive canvas QA remains unverified.

Restart Comfy Desktop after updating. Start from a new Studio template to get the native-media contract; existing API-task nodes keep their legacy contracts. This remains a prerelease while broader provider and interactive validation continues.

CRUN Next v0.3.2 — Simple actions and visible credit quotes

Choose a tag to compare

@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 26 Oct 00:51

CRUN Next 0.3.2 simplifies the generation controls and makes estimates visible on each node.

  • Prepare stays local. Estimate uploads connected references and obtains a quote. Generate uploads required references, quotes, checks balance and submits once.
  • Removed the extra upload/paid checkboxes from the interface while retaining legacy workflow slots.
  • Added an optional credit cap under Advanced: 0 disables it; saved positive caps remain enforced, including after model changes.
  • Over-cap and insufficient-balance results now show a readable receipt instead of a traceback. Downstream result nodes safely wait when no task was submitted.
  • Quote receipts identify the model, time, optional cap and balance at check when available. Quotes are estimates, not final charges.
  • Updated all 1,399 template notes to explain the simplified actions.

Validation: 187 Python tests (one Windows skip), 34 JavaScript tests, plus an isolated real Comfy interface test using explicitly synthetic pricing. No live CRUN upload or paid generation was performed during development validation. This remains an alpha prerelease.

Restart Comfy Desktop after updating. Your saved API key and positive workflow credit caps are preserved.

v0.3.1 - Clear generation budget and upload preflight

Choose a tag to compare

@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 25 Oct 21:46

CRUN configuration checks now run before node execution.

  • An enabled generation with a zero credit ceiling and connected images without upload permission reports both missing requirements together.
  • Applies to model-family dropdown nodes and retained individual catalog nodes.
  • Preserves Comfy's ordinary model-option and native IMAGE/MASK connection validation.
  • Runtime spending/upload checks remain in place. This update does not choose a budget, enable permissions or retry a generation.

If generation is blocked: select crun_mode=estimate, explicitly enable crun_allow_upload if you want the connected references sent to CRUN, and review the quote. Then choose your own positive crun_max_credits limit before enabling paid generation. Zero remains a block, not unlimited spending.

Verified with 183 Python checks (platform-dependent skips) and actual isolated Comfy queue/preparation tests. No paid generation or reference upload was performed for this patch. Restart Comfy after updating.

See VALIDATION.md for the complete scope. The native image/video workflow features and remaining limitations from v0.3.0 are retained.

v0.3.0 - Native images, model dropdowns and Studio workflows

Choose a tag to compare

@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 25 Oct 21:29

CRUN Next now works around creative tasks and native Comfy connections.

What changed

  • Model-family dropdowns: Seedance, Seedream, Nano Banana, GPT Image, Kling, Wan and other families expose compatible versions inside focused task nodes. Text-to-video, image-to-video, reference-to-video and editing remain distinct tasks.
  • Real IMAGE/MASK connections: first/last frames, reference batches, ordered Effect images, image-editing sources and masks connect directly from Comfy nodes. URL fallbacks stay in advanced controls.
  • Controls follow the selected model: supported choices, ranges and whole-number settings update. Incompatible connections are retained and flagged. Model changes reset execution to prepare and disarm upload/paid permissions.
  • Native result retrieval: Get Image Result / Get Video Result retrieve the same task ID, save local copies under output/CRUNResults and feed Preview Image / Save Video. Timeouts never create replacement tasks.
  • Connected Studio workflows: 62 focused graphs cover 162 image/video operations. The 1,337 per-option catalog starters remain available; all 1,399 templates start in prepare mode.

Start here

Restart Comfy after updating. Open Templates > Extensions > ComfyUI-CRUN-Nodes-Next and search Studio Seedance. Choose Studio-Seedance-Image-to-Video, select an image in Load Image and choose the model version. The image connection and result/save path are already wired.

Preparation is fully local. Estimating connected images requires explicit upload permission, because CRUN's estimate contract needs actual reference URLs. Generation additionally requires paid permission and a positive estimated-credit ceiling. Upload receipts use a short-lived, credential/content-scoped memory cache.

Verification and limits

174 Python checks (platform-dependent skips) and 23 JavaScript tests passed locally. In real ComfyUI, a synthetic local image flowed through the Studio graph, with no validation errors and no provider task submitted. Native PNG and MP4 adapters were also exercised locally.

This remains an alpha: no real CRUN upload, paid generation or generated-media download was performed for this release. LLM execution, native video/audio input uploads and complex nested reference adapters remain pending. Consult VALIDATION.md for the exact scope.

Existing per-model IDs remain under Advanced/Catalog. Saved credentials live outside the package. Close Comfy before replacing files, keep backups outside custom_nodes and never include your API key in workflows.

v0.2.0 - Catalogs, native settings and workflow templates

Choose a tag to compare

@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 25 Oct 20:29

CRUN Next now exposes its catalog directly in ComfyUI's Nodes menu, with a safe workflow starter for every imported option.

  • 274 model/operation definitions with model-specific inputs and exact wire IDs.
  • 1,063 unique AI Effects: Kling, ByteDance and Vidu.
  • 18 AI Tools, including upscale, inpaint, expansion, background repair and video enhancement.
  • 1,337 workflow templates, all starting in offline prepare mode.
  • Native CRUN settings inspired by KIE Next: save once, masked key status, connection check and historical balance. Windows credentials use DPAPI and survive updates.
  • Explicit estimate / generate controls, positive credit ceiling, single submission and recoverable task IDs. No automatic resubmission after an ambiguous failure.

This is a catalog alpha, not a claim that every upstream operation has been exercised. Media inputs currently require public HTTPS URLs. LLM/dedicated protocols are prepare-only; native media uploads, polling and decoded result outputs are not implemented. No paid generation was performed for this release.

Verified: 123 Python tests (one platform-specific skip), 11 JavaScript tests, every generated node's preparation offline, actual Comfy registration of 1,344 nodes and all 1,337 templates, and three prepare-mode executions through Comfy's queue. Authenticated discovery used read-only balance, model inventory and complete Effects catalogs.

Close Comfy before updating. Back up the previous CRUN folder outside custom_nodes, then extract the ZIP so __init__.py is directly under custom_nodes/ComfyUI-CRUN-Nodes-Next. Saved credentials live outside that folder. Restart Comfy afterward.

CRUN Next v0.1.0 — Connection & Discovery Alpha

Choose a tag to compare

@felipederosilva felipederosilva released this 25 Oct 19:53

CRUN Next 0.1.0 — connection and discovery alpha

A new independent CRUN integration for ComfyUI, based on lessons from KIE Next
without sharing its credentials, node IDs or installation.

Available now

  • CRUN workspace: Connection, AI Effects, AI Tools.
  • Local API-key entry; Windows DPAPI-protected storage, environment override.
  • Explicit connection/account-balance checks and console reporting.
  • Kling, ByteDance and Vidu Effects-catalog adapters with opt-in media previews.
  • Non-generating cost estimates, existing-task inspection, and draft effect plans.
  • Nine researched AI Tools cards clearly marked planned/not runnable.
  • Seven setup/utility nodes; safe first-install-only helper.

Important scope

This is a skeleton, not an all-model generation pack. Paid generations and media
uploads are deliberately not implemented. Real CRUN authentication and catalog
compatibility still need testing with the user's own key, especially Vidu's list
shape. No provider jobs or credits were used in development.

Validation

63 offline Python tests (one platform-specific skip on Windows), seven frontend
tests, isolated real ComfyUI startup with seven registered nodes, and browser
checks of settings/Connection/Effects/Tools. Public CI passed on Ubuntu/Windows.

Download the runtime ZIP and place its ComfyUI-CRUN-Nodes-Next folder under the
actual backend's custom_nodes folder. Start Comfy, then open Settings → CRUN Next
→ Connection → Open connection & creative workspace. Save your own CRUN key and
choose Check connection & balance. Do not paste keys into GitHub or workflows.
