Tokenroom 2.6.0 — a lighter, calmer UI
Tokenroom 2.6.0 is a lighter, calmer Tokenroom, with colour reserved for what it means.
Colour means something
Percentages stay in ink until a limit is critical, charts are neutral with a dot at the current level, and controls are blue. Meters are flat, the pace mark is finer, and facts sit in plain columns instead of boxes.
A smaller popover
Orbit is about a third shorter with the same providers: smaller rings with a pace mark, and one caption line. A provider's page puts its name in the header and its ring beside the text, so more of the page fits. An expired session is a row, with its message and Sign In together, so the other providers stay in view.
Menu bar, Settings and News
The menu bar uses Cursor's and GitHub Copilot's own marks, at the same widths as before. Settings > Providers has a flatter header and one unofficial note per section, with Sign In on the provider's own line. News has fewer cards and a neutral sidebar.
Install
Download Tokenroom-2.6.0.zip, unzip it, and move Tokenroom.app to Applications. The universal Mac app is signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and uses Production iCloud for usage sync.
The iPhone, widgets and Apple Watch get the same overhaul in version 1.3.0, through the App Store.
Tokenroom 2.5.3 — Orbit, usage insights and Grok Bot connection
Tokenroom 2.5.3 makes usage easier to read and keeps Grok Bot connected through its own desktop login.
New popover styles
Orbit is now the default, with larger percentages and circular meters. Choose Instrument, Strata, Aurora or the original Classic view from the palette button in the popover or Settings > Menu Bar. Your choice is saved on this Mac.
Open a provider to see remaining quota, a daily allowance until reset, seven-day usage history, consumption versus elapsed time, and available run-out forecasts. Expired sessions keep their sign-in controls; stale readings and reset-pending limits remain clearly labeled.
Grok Bot connection
Tokenroom reads the active Grok Bot desktop login directly, without requiring Cursor. Sign In can request macOS authorization for that login. Background updates respect Keychain permissions, other providers remain responsive, and a refused or signed-out login never switches to another saved account.

This update is for macOS. The iPhone, widgets and Apple Watch apps are unchanged.
Tokenroom 2.5.2 — fixes for the popover, iCloud sync, and provider readings
Tokenroom 2.5.2 fixes small things you'd notice: a header stuck on an old check time, a meter that vanished, an iPhone that stayed behind the Mac.
In the popover, "Checked …" no longer counts providers you're signed out of, and "Couldn't sync with iCloud" opens Settings › iPhone & Watch. Turning a provider off, renaming your Mac, or turning iCloud back on reaches your iPhone at once, even while a send is still out, and a blank "Name on iPhone" shows as "Mac". Settings › Alerts says where alerts go when Send readings to iCloud is off, searching Settings hides empty sections, and VoiceOver reads each provider switch's on or off.
GitHub Copilot keeps its meter one request into overage. An expired Kimi CLI login gives way to the key in Claude Code's settings. Codex's banked-reset dates match the number of resets. Limit names keep what tells them apart ("Gemini 5-hour", "Opus weekly limit", "daily limit"), News excerpts show dashes and quotes instead of "—", and Skills loads without holding up the app.
Tokenroom 1.2.2 for iPhone, with the same fixes and steadier widgets, is on its way to the App Store.

Tokenroom 2.5.1 — level-coloured meters and fresher iPhone readings
Tokenroom 2.5.1 gives meters, rings and provider icons a new finish, and keeps the iPhone's readings fresher.
Meters and rings fill in their level's colour, from a lighter tint where they start to the full colour at the tip, so 23% and 78% no longer start the same blue. Rings end in a shadowed cap, the percent sign is set smaller than the figure, and provider icons get a fine edge and a soft shadow.
In the popover, the header shows a small iCloud mark while your iPhone and Apple Watch are getting readings, and says "Couldn't sync with iCloud" when sending fails. Cards respond to the pointer, captions say "resets in 3d 1h", Settings and News have symbols, and Quit moves into the ⋯ menu (⌘Q still works).
An unchanged reading now goes to iCloud every 9 minutes instead of every 30, so the iPhone's "checked" time follows the Mac's own checks. Tokenroom 1.2.1 for iPhone, which looks for new readings every 2 minutes while Usage is open, is on its way to the App Store.

Tokenroom 2.5.0 — faster News and the audit fixes
Tokenroom 2.5.0 makes News faster and fuller, and fixes what a full product audit found.
News checks hourly in the background and every 5 minutes while it's on screen, retries a failed feed after 5, 15, 30, then 60 minutes, and shows each feed as it arrives. It adds Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, OpenCode, Claude Code's what's new, Claude Agent SDK, Claude Skills and Google DeepMind. New is more accurate: a post dated before your last visit still counts, a newly followed source's back catalog doesn't, releases and commits are dated by when they happened, and a post on both Google blogs shows once.
Claude renewal writes back only into the exact Keychain item it checked, which fixes a duplicate item that could sign Claude Code out. Held run-out alerts follow newer readings and never quote a time that has passed, a window missing from one reading still alerts when it returns, and devices announce a crossing once. iPhone sync turned off mid-send stays off, each iCloud call gives way after 20 seconds, and after you delete Tokenroom's data in iCloud settings, a Mac that notices doesn't put it back until you start again. Turning a provider on, or changing the refresh interval, applies at once.
The iPhone and Apple Watch app 1.2.0, which signs in to Claude, Codex, Grok Build, Cursor and Grok Bot on the iPhone itself, is submitted to the App Store separately. The full list is in CHANGELOG.md.

Tokenroom 2.4.1 — Mac News editorial briefing
Tokenroom 2.4.1 refreshes News on Mac with the Editorial Briefing design: a featured story, decorative artwork, a release rail and compact updates with familiar source icons.
Following, Skills, Saved, collections and reading details share the new desktop style and adapt to smaller windows. Save and More actions stay inline, and native controls keep source choices, rankings and reading actions easy to reach.
Source freshness now distinguishes current, delayed and unloaded feeds, with model checks shown separately. Feed summaries preserve useful supplied excerpts and literal code examples.
This release is for Mac. The iPhone build is unchanged. Curated voices use public feeds and profile links; Skills is a metadata reader and does not install or run skills.

Tokenroom 2.4.0
Tokenroom 2.4.0 brings a new native News reader to the Mac, with clearer discovery and recovery.
- Browse Today, Following, Skills and Saved, with story details, source search, native sharing and links to the original publisher.
- Follow curated voices through public article feeds and X profile links, and opt in to official release and status sources. Follows stay local to Tokenroom.
- Explore ClawHub Trending, Most downloaded and Newest rankings with clear source, owner and compatibility information. Tokenroom only reads listing metadata; it does not install or run skills.
- Save stories on this device, keep them after a feed changes or a source is unfollowed, and undo removal.
- The menu bar and compact Apple surfaces lead with the open usage window needing attention soonest. A measured run-out remains visibly projected when its reading becomes stale.
- Balance references and history keep their USD or CNY currency across region changes. Updated collectors coordinate reset-window alerts atomically; older writers retain their existing behavior.
- Native Mac Back and Command-[, larger-text layouts, source-health messages and targeted retry make the reader easier to use.
The universal Mac download is signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple and stapled. Install Tokenroom.app from the ZIP into Applications. The checksum and release-source.json identify the published package and source.
Validation: 766 Mac tests and 34 hosted iPhone tests passed with zero failures; shared typechecking passed for macOS, iOS and watchOS. Release builds and the optimized Swift6 fallback compiled, and scoped native Mac/Simulator News acceptance passed. Tokenroom 2.3.1
Tokenroom 2.3.1 improves usage sync and session reliability across Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch.
- More reliable incremental iCloud reads and Watch refresh handoffs.
- Notification acknowledgements survive account changes, while unsuccessful schedules remain retryable.
- The Mac header shows the oldest successful provider check; failed or skipped refreshes do not move it.
- Safer API key replacement, sign-in cancellation, and credential redirect handling.

Source: PR #35, reviewed commit adbb201, merged as 60823b4. The merge and reviewed source trees are identical. Version 2.3.1 (build 1) was supplied as an Xcode build override.
Validation: 606 Mac tests and 22 iPhone simulator tests passed with zero failures; shared typechecking passed for macOS, iOS, and watchOS; the fallback build passed with installation skipped.
Tokenroom 2.3.0
Tokenroom 2.3.0 renews Claude's login again, and brings clearer meters, a new Settings window, and News that keeps itself current.
- Claude's usage check renews an expired access token again and writes the new login back with the
securitytool, which that item already trusts. It does not open the item itself and does not ask for the login password. (This is the 2.2.4 fix; 2.2.4 was not published on its own.) - Meters show the even pace as a notch through the bar, and the stretch past it is striped when use runs ahead of pace.
- A provider's details show when it resets, how the pace looks, the plan, and the last check at a glance. One-line rows say when each limit resets.
- Settings is one window with a sidebar and search, a short summary on each page, and tags on providers.
- News keeps itself current while its window is open, so Check Now is optional.
See CHANGELOG.md for details. The Mac download is Developer ID signed and notarized. The iPhone and Apple Watch app 1.0.2 has the same changes and follows on the App Store after 1.0.1, which is in review.

Tokenroom 2.2.3
Tokenroom 2.2.3 stops the login-keychain password dialog on Claude's usage check.
- Claude's usage check no longer asks for the login keychain password. Tokenroom reads that login with the
securitytool only when the item already allows it, once. It does not open the item itself, because that call waits on the keychain and the check never finishes. - The login is left for Claude Code to renew, so Tokenroom does not replace its access list.
See CHANGELOG.md for details. The Mac download is Developer ID signed and notarized. The iPhone and Apple Watch app stays 1.0.1; this fix is in the Mac app.
