What's new

  • 🪟 JBLControl for Windows (preview). The same app, now on Windows 10 and 11 (x64 and Arm64): battery, EQ presets and custom equalizer, Keep Awake, low-battery alerts and start at sign-in, with a tray icon and a main window. Built natively with WinUI 3, and it connects without pairing.
  • 🍎 Mac: minor bug fixes and improvements.

About the Windows preview: so far it's only been tried with a JBL Flip 7, and custom EQ sliders and Keep Awake haven't been confirmed on Windows yet. If you try it, a device report helps a lot.

Install

Mac (macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon or Intel)

  1. Download JBLControl-0.7.0.dmg below.
  2. Open it and drag JBLControl onto Applications (choose Replace if you're updating).
  3. First launch: if macOS blocks it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/JBLControl.app.

Windows (preview; Windows 10 version 1809 or later, x64 or Arm64)

  1. Download JBLControl-win-x64-0.7.0-setup.exe below (win-arm64 for Arm PCs such as Snapdragon laptops).
  2. Run it. If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", choose More info → Run anyway. Updating? Just run the new installer.

  3. Prefer no installer? Extract the portable JBLControl-win-x64-0.7.0.zip and run JBLControl.exe.
