Shortcut tips show you keyboard shortcuts for commands you use through menus, toolbars,
and window buttons. The tips appear above the status bar and fade after a few seconds.
They only appear once per day per command and stop entirely after you've used the
shortcut three times, so they never become annoying. You can disable them in Settings,
and toolbar buttons now show your custom shortcuts when you remap them.

Install or update

  • With 0.4.0 or later: use Runlet ▸ Check for Updates… and choose Install and Relaunch.
  • New install, or 0.3.0 and older: download the DMG, drag Runlet to Applications, and open it. It's ad-hoc signed, so the first time go to System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Runlet runs on macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, on Apple silicon and Intel.

What changed

  • Shortcut tips: When you click a command in a menu, toolbar button, or window button, a tip shows the shortcut above the status bar and fades after a few seconds. Tips appear at most once per day per command and stop after you've used the shortcut three times, so they never become annoying. Turn them off in Settings > General > Tips > Show shortcut tips. (#345)
  • Tooltips show your custom shortcuts: Toolbar and window buttons now display your custom shortcuts in their tooltips when you remap them in Settings > Shortcuts, instead of the defaults. The History & Snippets button now shows its own shortcut (⌥⌘L).

The full list is in CHANGELOG.md. SHA256SUMS.txt has the checksums.

Crash logs: Runlet-0.7.3-dSYMs.zip has the symbols (how to use them).
