  • AI help with your own key. Add an Anthropic or OpenAI key in Settings ▸ AI, stored in the Keychain.
Explain or Fix This Error proposes a fix as a diff you can apply as one undoable edit. The Chat
pane answers questions about a tab's code. Each request shows exactly what it sends and goes out
only when you click Send. Runlet never runs code a model writes.
  • Kubernetes targets. Save a profile with a context, namespace, label selector, and container, then
run snippets in a pod over kubectl. Stop ends the PHP run and leaves the pod running.
  • MongoDB tabs run mongosh queries such as db.orders.find({status: "paid"}). Runlet translates
them to the JSON query form and never runs the text as JavaScript. Destructive operations ask
    first.
  • Redis tabs can watch live Pub/Sub and MONITOR streams, with Pause, Resume, Clear, and Stop.
MONITOR always asks first and hides recognised passwords.
  • The run inspector lists Symfony HttpClient requests and Messenger messages when the profiler is
    on.
  • Risky confirmations now cancel on Return and confirm with ⌘Return, and the confirm button is red.
Settings opens again from the command palette, menus, and links on current macOS versions.

Install or update

  • With 0.4.0 or later: use Runlet ▸ Check for Updates… and choose Install and Relaunch.
  • New install, or 0.3.0 and older: download the DMG, drag Runlet to Applications, and open it. It's ad-hoc signed, so the first time go to System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Runlet runs on macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, on Apple silicon and Intel.

What changed

  • Chat about your code (#45). Library ▸ Show/Hide Chat opens a Chat pane for asking questions about the tab's code. Each message lists what it will send, and nothing goes out until you click Send.
  • Explain or Fix This Error (#44). Your AI provider explains why a run failed and can propose a fix as a diff. Apply Fix makes the change as one undoable edit and does not run the code.
  • AI provider keys (#368). Settings ▸ AI takes an Anthropic or OpenAI key, stored in the Keychain, along with a model for each provider. Requests go straight from your Mac to the provider and are billed to your account.
  • Settings opens again. Settings… in the command palette, the mail chip's link to Settings ▸ General, the editor's link to Settings ▸ PHP, and ⌥⌘, now open Settings on current macOS versions.
  • Risky confirmations (#367). In database confirmations, Return now cancels and ⌘Return confirms. The confirm button is red, as macOS draws destructive buttons, and Redis's Kill Client now asks for confirmation.
  • Kubernetes targets (#33). Save a profile with a context, namespace, label selector, and container, then run snippets in a pod over kubectl. Stop ends the PHP run and leaves the pod running.
  • MongoDB mongosh queries (#220). MongoDB tabs accept mongosh-style queries such as db.orders.find({status: "paid"}) and translate them to the JSON query form before running. The text is never run as JavaScript, and destructive operations ask first.
  • Redis live streams (#203). Redis tabs can watch Pub/Sub and MONITOR streams, with Pause, Resume, Clear, and Stop. MONITOR always asks first and hides recognised passwords.
  • Symfony requests and messages in the run inspector (#315). With the Symfony profiler on, the run inspector lists HttpClient requests and Messenger messages. Runlet only reads the profiler's data and does not change your application.

The full list is in CHANGELOG.md. SHA256SUMS.txt has the checksums.

Crash logs: Runlet-0.8.0-dSYMs.zip has the symbols (how to use them).
