Changed
The firecrawl JS SDK dependency moves from 4.50.0 to 4.51.0. That release adds the Government Index filters (jurisdiction, court, courtType, cites, domain) to the SDK's govSearch, location and zeroDataRetention to agent requests, and insufficient_credits and zeroDataRetention to the agent trace types. The server uses none of them: firecrawl_gov_search already sends its filters through the SDK's HTTP client, and firecrawl_agent offers neither location nor zeroDataRetention, so tools, schemas and results are unchanged.
Fixed
The Gemini CLI extension starts the firecrawl-mcp release it ships, npx -y firecrawl-mcp@3.36.1, instead of npx -y firecrawl-mcp. Without a version, npm picks the newest release whose engines accepts the running Node, so on Node 20, which Gemini CLI supports, the extension ran firecrawl-mcp 3.22.2. npm installs an exact version as asked, and 3.36.1 starts on Node 20 with an engine warning. The pin moves with each release: a test checks that it matches the package version.
