The map now runs on your graphics card. Panning, zooming and fast play stay smooth even on huge networks. If something looks wrong or your phone gets warm, switch back to the old map in Settings › Map drawing › Always 2D. Older browsers stay in 2D on their own, and Settings › Diagnostic info shows which one you have.

Customers sign contracts now. When one ends they renew, grow, haggle or leave, and bandwidth gets cheaper every year. To bring in more deals, hire someone to run sales: an engineer who goes to every NOG, a shark who oversells, or the CEO, who thinks he sells best.

Also new: a "No POP yet" tab on the dashboard, clearer puzzles on phones, Gothenburg, Malmö, Haparanda and Bilbao on the map, and tooltips on the NOC charts.

  • The map is now drawn by your graphics card, so panning, zooming and fast play stay smooth on big networks (#281). If it looks wrong or your device runs hot, go back to the old drawing in Settings › Map drawing › Always 2D. Browsers without WebGL2 stay in 2D on their own, and Settings › Diagnostic info shows which one you are on.
  • Customers sign contracts, and when one ends they renew, grow, haggle or leave (#178). Bandwidth prices fall over the years and rise when hardware is short, and the dashboard shows who you won and lost each month.
  • You can hire one person to run sales: an engineer, a shark or the CEO himself. Each brings different deals and leaves their mark on the customers they sign.
  • The NOC dashboard has a "No POP yet" tab listing every city you could still expand to.
  • Puzzles explain their goals in plain words, with a Show me button and marks on the map, and fit phones better.
  • Sweden gets Gothenburg, Malmö and Haparanda (#206).
  • Bilbao joins the map, where the transatlantic cables really land; Columbus III-and-a-half now lands near Cádiz.
  • NOC charts have tooltips, and their legend can hide a series.
  • Leasing dark fiber costs more, alien waves are priced against the fiber, and extra crews can only halve a land build (#203).
  • Clean traffic sent back by a scrubbing center no longer shows as DDoS junk on your links (#289).
  • In Firefox on a computer, the 2D map is up to three times as fast when zoomed in.
  • Fixes: a link ordered by the AI tools can no longer end in a city the map does not show, and names from a save file always show as plain text.
