v0.6.1
FluentCI Engine v0.6.1
This release adds composable pipeline primitives, parallel matrix jobs, native file operations, and clearer execution diagnostics.
Parallel pipelines
- Build typed matrices with Cartesian products, include/exclude filters, stable job IDs, prerequisites, and joins.
- Bound concurrency while retaining per-job caching, logs, cancellation, and service supervision.
- Submit complete plans through the execute_plan guest API.
Composable workflow primitives
- Retry failed jobs with bounded backoff.
- Run tasks conditionally and define cleanup finalizers.
- Mark optional failures without losing their diagnostics.
- Pass named outputs between tasks, publish artifacts, and coordinate shared resources.
Native file and environment operations
- Read and write text or bytes; copy, move, create, remove, inspect, list, glob, hash, chmod, and symlink files.
- Atomic file writes, explicit overwrite controls, bounded reads, and structured query results.
- Load literal .env files without shell evaluation. Explicit task variables take precedence, and changed values invalidate cached jobs.
Better failure diagnostics
- Preserve actual process exit codes across CLI execution, providers, Wasm plugins, and local/remote watch.
- Include process error output in failed job reports.
- Keep failure details visible in plain logs and the TUI after recent output scrolls away.
- Report cancellation as 130 and task timeouts as 124.
SDKs and reliability
- New primitives available across PureScript, Python, Elixir, Gleam, ReScript, and TypeScript SDKs, plus Rust executor builders.
- More reliable resource and action-cache lock release, including on NetBSD.
- Expanded release tests and six-language Wasm end-to-end coverage.
Compatibility: New primitives require engine 0.6.1 and matching SDKs. Matrix jobs execute on the current host; they do not distribute work across operating systems or remote workers.
