wWindowClassOf(context) returns a WindowSizeClass (compact, medium, expanded), so a shell chooses a bar or a rail by window width and not by platform. Wind maps iOS to isMobile (platform_service.dart), so an iPad reads as a phone by platform, and wIsTablet is only the md to lg band, which turns false again on a wide iPad or a desktop window; neither answers "does this window have room for a rail". The classes are cut at the theme's own md and lg screens (compact below md, medium up to below lg, expanded from lg), so a custom screens table moves them, and it reads the size aspect of MediaQuery through wScreenIs, so a keyboard inset does not rebuild the caller. A platform or device-idiom check was rejected: split view puts an iPad in a phone-sized window. wIsTablet and isMobile are unchanged.
