What's New in v1.2.0
Game Launcher — now supports any game source
- Steam, Lutris, or any arbitrary shell command (Heroic, Bottles, native executables, etc.)
- Pick from your Steam or Lutris library with the built-in browser — game name and launch command fill in automatically
- Game profiles — save your complete game configuration (name, command, CPU parking selection, nice preference) as a named profile
- Selecting a profile from the dropdown instantly restores all settings — no separate Load button needed
- Profile name defaults to the game name on save
Gaming Mode — auto-restore bug fix
- Fixed: games with spaces in their name (e.g. "Path of Exile") were never detected in
/procbecause the process commPathOfExiledid not match the spaced name — Gaming Mode never auto-disabled when the game exited - New fuzzy matching strips non-alphanumeric characters before comparing, and also checks
/proc/pid/cmdlineas a fallback for Proton/Wine wrappers - When the tracked PID exits, re-scans for a replacement process before triggering restore (handles games that restart themselves)
CPU bars — frequency display
- Each bar now shows the current core frequency (e.g.
4.43G) below the utilisation percentage - Reads live from
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuN/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq - Tooltip updated:
CPU 3: 12.5% | 4.43 GHz | 62°C - Bar height increased to 26px to fit two lines; column layout now picks a column count that divides the CPU count evenly — no more partial empty last row
Rules — visual CPU affinity picker
- Replaced the free-text
0-7,16-23input with a topology-aware checkbox grid - Quick-select buttons: All, None, CCD0 (V-Cache), CCD1, CCD0 (no SMT)
- Affinity is enabled/disabled with a checkbox — leave it off to skip affinity for that rule
- Pre-fills from a selected running process as before
Bug fixes
- Process picker double-click did not autofill name/pattern into the rule —
doubleClickedwas wired toaccept()directly, bypassing the handler that sets the values. Fixed. - Gaming Mode profiles previously saved CPU states with integer keys which became strings after JSON round-trip — all checkboxes restored to checked regardless of saved state. Fixed by storing keys as strings consistently.
