How releases work

  • Simple trigger: include vX.Y.Z in commit message and bump extension/manifest.json to same X.Y.Z, then git push origin main
  • Or: git tag vX.Y.Z && git push origin vX.Y.Z
  • Or: bump manifest alone (workflow sees manifest != latest tag)
  • Or: Actions → Run workflow → enter version
  • Workflow fails if commit/tag version ≠ manifest version so zip and exe stay in sync.
