Fullbleed 2.5.11 fixes blank native previews of PDFs that use unembedded Standard 14 fonts on machines without suitable system fonts.

python -m pip install --upgrade "fullbleed==2.5.11"

The native renderer now includes 508 KB of reproducibly generated OFL outline substitutes for Helvetica, Times, Courier, Symbol and Dingbats. Registered and embedded fonts retain precedence. Font-resolution traces identify the bundled substitute, and runtime discovery reports bundled_standard_font_previews.

Upgrade note: Default preview pixels intentionally change. The substitutes are fixed designs, not original Standard 14 outlines. They cover every glyph in the built-in encodings; the unencoded vendor-private Symbol /apple logo remains unsupported. PDF font resources, text and advances are preserved. No new runtime package, browser, system font installation, or network download is required.

The 68-case installed-wheel check covers 6,350 glyph placements, default HTML previews, explicit font overrides and embedded-font controls. Windows, Linux, and Linux with system fonts hidden produce identical pixels and PDF bytes. Legacy Symbol equation components are also checked against their Adobe metric bounds. The public 2.5.10 negative control has 14 blank default previews while its 14 explicitly registered controls remain visible.

All 14 registered-font preview controls and 12 generated PDFs remain byte-identical to public 2.5.10. Four changed golden preview pages were visually reviewed; their three PDFs retain their previous hashes. Validation also covers 500 Python tests, 1,328 default Rust tests, 1,329 Python/SVG Rust tests, the existing spacing/subset/font-family suites, generated runtime artifacts, bundled font licenses, and the Skill publishing dry run.

Rust users can update the fullbleed crate to 2.5.11. Node.js and .NET packages have separate releases and currently retain engine 2.5.10.

See PR #47, the font sources and coverage limits, and the release runbook. Verification is scoped to the retained fixtures and is not a claim of general PDF standards conformance.

Public verification: all 16 PyPI downloads match the CI distribution checksums. Fresh Windows and Linux installs, including Linux with system fonts hidden, pass all 68 portability cases with identical PDF bytes and preview pixels. A fresh Rust 1.85 crates.io consumer reproduces the 14 built-in font previews; its published source and font files match the release tag. The attached verification archives and release record retain these checks.
