Fullbleed 2.5.17: practical Rust API documentation
The Rust API reference now starts with a working first-PDF program, explicit font loading and a guide to choosing render methods. Core methods explain byte-count returns, writer/file behavior, glyph checks, previews, and fixed-layout versus reflowing record bindings.
The attached fullbleed-rust-api-2.5.17.zip contains three runnable programs copied from the published crate's documentation, an explicit font with its license, and expected PDFs/previews. Extract it and follow README.txt; the Cargo dependencies are pinned. The designed Rust starter remains available for complete invoice and report templates.
Validation: 1,349 Rust library tests and 11 Rustdoc checks pass on Windows and Linux; 589 Python tests pass against the final installed wheel. Fresh PyPI and crates.io consumers pass, the three file examples match the local outputs, and all three programs reproduce the retained output from the extracted ZIP. The website walkthrough's three Rust snippets also execute against the public crate. The hosted API was checked at desktop and mobile sizes. See the attached verification JSON and checksums for exact package and source identities.
This release updates documentation, CI link checks and synchronized package metadata. It adds no rendering algorithm changes or new conformance guarantees. Existing renderer limitations remain; the optional dedicated PDF/VT validator is still unconfigured. Native and independent preview pixels are not claimed to be identical.
