Fullbleed 2.5.42: gradient stitching boundaries
Fullbleed 2.5.42 fixes invalid PDF stitching-function boundaries in hard-stop gradients. Color stops at the same position, including positions that round to the same PDF number, now preserve their distinct colors without creating empty interior intervals.
Install Python with python -m pip install fullbleed==2.5.42 or pin Rust with fullbleed = "=2.5.42".
All nine targeted regressions pass on Windows, Linux and the tagged release. Qualification also passed 809 Python tests, 1,415 native tests and 11 documentation tests. The evidence includes the failing 2.5.41 cases.
Ten retained documents pass 31 independent color probes and all 40 before/after native and PDFium image comparisons. One repeated-border specimen shrinks from 25,155 to 16,749 bytes while preserving its rendered images.
All 16 public Python distributions match the tagged workflow artifacts. Fresh PyPI and crates.io consumers reproduce the reviewed documents and previews.
The 1,662-case CSS corpus retains 1,624 PASS, 20 FAIL and 18 REFERENCE-DISPUTED, with identical verdicts and raster hashes. Its all-pass gate still fails; the full report is included below.
Known limitations include radial final-stop colors and the existing border-image comparison failures. Component authoring remains alpha. This release makes a specific gradient-serialization correction; it does not establish general CSS parity or complete standards conformance. Dedicated PDF/VT validation remains unavailable.
