Aster v1.0.0
Application version remains 1.0.0. This release contains the verified current main build and prepares a free open-source signing route. The downloads are still unsigned. The SmartScreen warning is unresolved; this is not a warning-removal release.
Changes
- Added an optional SignPath Foundation pipeline for projects accepted into its free open-source program, while retaining the existing Azure option.
- Aligned the application libraries' product metadata to Aster Calculator, keeping version 1.0.0.
- Added provider-result archive checks and regression coverage. Enabled signing failures block publication without an unsigned fallback.
- Documented the proposed code signing policy, privacy behavior and outstanding enrollment. No SignPath application has been submitted or approved.
Download and run
Aster remains free under the MIT license. Download Aster-win-x64.zip and SHA256SUMS.txt, verify the ZIP hash, and extract the entire archive into a writable folder. Run Aster.exe with its companion files together. Install the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime for Windows x64 first; it is not bundled. Use a Windows x64 version supported by .NET 10. GitHub source archives are not runnable packages.
These are unchanged copies of the packages from verification run 41177968545, source commit bab5c26. Publication requires successful complete engine/component verification, release-helper regressions, packaging and checksum checks. Old tags and packages are preserved; the build tag distinguishes this package without changing the application version.
Remaining limitations
No publicly trusted signing identity is available. Free Foundation signing requires provider acceptance and human approval of each signing request. Signing alone cannot guarantee that SmartScreen never warns. No Windows security setting is changed by this release.
Automated verification does not guarantee zero crashes on every computer. Clean-machine runtime setup, physical input, accessibility, monitor transitions and desktop acceptance remain manual checks. Keep the previous full application folder for rollback and back up any local settings before updating.

Aster is an offline Windows calculator with everyday, scientific and programmer calculations, unit conversion and date tools.
Download and run
- Install the Microsoft .NET 10 Desktop Runtime for Windows x64.
- Download Aster-win-x64.zip and SHA256SUMS.txt from this release.
- Compare the ZIP's SHA-256 with the checksum file, then extract the entire ZIP into a user-writable folder.
- Run Aster.exe and keep its companion files together. GitHub's source-code archives are not runnable application downloads.
The portable application is unsigned. The .NET runtime is installed separately and is not bundled. Use a Windows x64 edition supported by .NET 10. This release does not add an installer, code signing, automatic updates or additional platform support.
Build and verification
This versioned release distributes the exact package from successful verification run 41113512575, built from commit a96ed9462bb544ff440136a7cff54ac5b70c09c1. Its original automated main preview remains available. The package has not been rebuilt or changed for this release.
The required repository, release-policy, packaging, engine and hidden WinForms component checks passed before the original package was published. The ZIP's SHA-256 is:

Acceptance limits and support
This release is marked Latest so GitHub displays a direct download in the repository sidebar. That designation does not certify signing, clean-machine compatibility or completion of the manual desktop acceptance checklist. Clean-machine/runtime installation, physical input, Narrator/high contrast, real monitor-DPI transitions, upgrade/rollback and publisher reputation checks remain outstanding. Automated engine/component checks do not replace those checks.
