docrev word-count --config <file> counts a project under another config. A paper that keeps one rev.yaml per journal (rev-ecology-letters.yaml next to the base rev.yaml) could only be counted under the base one, or by swapping the files. The option reads the named config instead of ./rev.yaml; its section, bibliography and CSL paths stay relative to the current directory, as they are in every docrev config. A missing or unparsable file is an error rather than a silent fall back to the defaults.

Word counts leave the reviewers' notes out.countWords dropped CriticMarkup with a pattern that stopped at a line break, so a comment spanning several lines was counted as prose: an annotated abstract of 143 words counted 4,171. CriticMarkup is now resolved by the same stripper the build uses (insertions and the new text of substitutions stay; deletions and comments go) before counting, and docrev word-count hands the stripped text to the abstract and keyword extraction as well, so a Keywords: line quoted inside a comment no longer adds to the keyword count.
