Compaction keeps the opening request. No protocol change, so an editor sees a
1.7.8-shaped agent.

• Compaction keeps the first user message. When the conversation outgrows
  the context window and is summarized, the opening request is kept verbatim
  instead of being folded into the summary, so the task a session started from
  survives repeated compactions. A first message past a size cap is still
  summarized like any other, and the pin is dropped when keeping it would leave
  the rebuilt history over budget, so compaction cannot loop on an oversized
  pin.
